Backpack for the minelab Manticore

Waterdog

Well-known member
What would be a Good backpack for the Minelab Manticore ? Something you could put the Minelab manticore and your pouch and digging tools in ect.

I am looking also,
One option I looked at is a softside tactical multi-rifle drag bag. Many have the main compartment seperated by a layer of material so I was thinking about detector on one side, spare coils/rods on the other. Many models have molle straps and/or built in pouches on the outside. width/thickness/length seem about right, and you can hand carry or many have backpack straps also, just haven't pulled the trigger while I keep my eyes open

You could change that word backpack to wheel barrow back in the late 60s early 70s .
I get it you don't want to carry everything but a 2 to 3 lb detector compared to a 5 to 8 lb early whites .
People sure are soft today ;)
Do like my deus 2 but a short 3 to 4 hour hunt and the CTX comes out . sube

Sorry to resurrect an old post, but what did op end up getting. I would be all over the xp280 but there is one for sale locally and the reason for sale is that the manticore didn’t fit. I have found the limiting factor to be the width, not length. I.e. with the coil flat and spun at a 90 deg angle for storage, the dimension from back of arm rest to front of control panel.
Thanks for any insight!!
I have the 11”.
