Hi all, my dad found this in Staffordshire and was wondering if anyone knows what it may be?
Thank you!

Haven't a clue.
Very interesting piece. Bronze ??
Stuck in the States.
You have some incredible history to discover.

Interesting find, but I have no idea what it is……looks very old and well made.
Hopefully someone can help ID it for you….keep us posted about it..

Thank you! I’m thinking it’s a key handle, medieval and 14th century.
Cool.
Be awesome if you could find the rest.
If a key. Could be a distance away.
That part probably stayed on the belt until it was discovered broken.

Then again could of been broken in battle.

Can you get back on the property ?

Good Luck

Looks to be some type of clasp, perhaps for a heavy cloak. That has some age on it.
