Question about the MXT and hot rocks.

I live in an area that is plagued with mineralized soil and hot rocks and was wondering how the MXT handled the hot rocks. No falsing, slight falsing, hey I'm a good target so dig me? I've always used the 6000's and now XL Pro and the hot rock reject function has been a godsend at times. Thanks!

Just to show you I'm not prejudiced when it comes to digital meters.

That's right, this is the ugly stepchild I never talk about. Actually my son bought me this Quantum II a couple months back. After a few weeks of using it in the field all can I say is, it's a Whites quality built detector with discrimination and depth on par with the XL Pro and XLT. Not bad if...

Anyone know if the the older Blue Max 11 inch coil will work on the XL Pro?

I keep getting conflicting answers. I'm pretty sure the connector is the same and they worked on the Di Pro which is the same freq..The only thing I see might be the length of the cable which seems shorter for the short straight rod on the older blue box 6000's. Thanks!

XL Pro, Tips for digging deep coins.

In mineralized ground Whites made a big leap forward when they intoduced the DI Pro SL with adjusable preamp gain. The signal balance on the 6000 Di Pro SL and XL Pro is also known as preamp gain which is also found on the XLT. The amount of power that the detector emits into the ground is...

How can you not love the XL Pro?

It does everything I ask of it. I hunted a new ghost town site today using the XL Pro and 8 inch coil. I researched this site sometime ago and finally hit the woods in search. This small town stood for sixty years untill it burned down in the middle 20's. It was hell to hunt. Thickly wooded with...

Has anyone used the old Whites 256 11" widescan coil on a XL Pro or XLT ?

The connector looks the same as newer but were made for the earlier 6000 DI models. Thanks!

Quantum II, the good, the bad, the ugly?

My son bought me a used Quantum II, late Christmas present and need some feedback on performance and any tips. I'm not sure this detector was ever used as it's in perfect condition. I did read the field test on Lost Treasue site but you know how that goes. Every machine tested there is ranked...

Hey Royal! My new home away from home.

This will be home for the next year or two. We are about 60 miles offshore south of Venice La. which was destroyed by Katrina. We have 4 rigs that were sunk and many others damaged by katrina. This is a support barge for the Noble Boa Deep C diving vessel that will be doing repairs. For once I'm...
