    Another nice feature on the Racer

    When you fast Ground Grab, the detector automatically goes to all metal for the GB........Then it stays in all metal for a few, so you can off set the GB if you desire to do that After a few seconds it changes back to Disc mode if you make no further changes. Nice feature !!

    Do they go into all metal mode if your in disc mode ??? For proper GB .

    What level of detectorist does one need to be at to use 15" 18" and even larger coils .......... I as a coin hunter use mostly standard stock coils ..maybe a smaller once in awhile. As a Hobby detectorist I have never seen the need for gigantic coils How often do you detect..what are you...

    VX3 Recovery setting from factory. I did not want to high jack anymore than I did on former post below

    Granted I did not give the V3i a fair chance.. It just did not seem to work all that well when I got it. The VX3 is stable.deep.and operates as I would expect it to. I'm just trying to learn how to fine tune it before hitting the detecting fields. I have not used it yet in real world detecting.

    Omega 8000 question

    What does the 11" DD coil do for the Omega as far as detecting pro's go ??????? ..and what are the negatives ?. As I'm sure there are trade offs... If I put the one I have on?? Will I start hitting rusty bottle caps like the F75's do ?????.............. and small pieces of iron ??.

    Why is it so slow on recovery out of the box..Or is that just a generic starting point setting ???? It seems to me I am almost 8" past the target before the machine beeps. ( Maybe less lol) seems like it though. Is that operator error , or slow processing of the target ???? I can say this...
