    Camp hunt

Another camping/hunt get-a-way with some nice finds. 13 wheats, 4 silvers including a baby silver ring, religious medal and two Merc's. The pin under the ring says Beaver Hats and the old car and truck goes back quite a few years, they are in pretty good shape too..... wheels intact.

    Another Barber dime

1914 D, so nothing too special, but still a Barber. Add to that a couple of IH's, both 1891 and 21 wheats made for a great day of hunting. Add to that a token with 1 1/2 on it but it doesn't say tax token or anything else, just Token..... It sure looks like a sales tax token...

    Yesterday's finds

Nice little surprise  The quarter sized disc is a 1933 Cracker Jack mystery club presidential "coin", Abraham Lincoln and to the right of that is a Jostens Honor Student award. I have no idea what the teardrop item is........ any suggestions?

    950 vrs d2

The DD coils excel in mineralized ground so the 950 should be the better coil for you. Lots of advantages to a concentric coil but the main disadvantage is you lose some coverage at depth and you need to overlap your swings.

    Yesterdays hunt

Not too bad, a 1907-O Barber with full Liberty and three wheats. Some clad and the usual Misc.

    First Silver with

my early Fathers Day present Nancy gave me......Minelab CTX 3030  1906-D Barber. Got another Indian with it the other day as well, an 1864, no visible L....... it is pretty worn.

    Beautiful hunting weather

Too bad we don't have more time to get out, but this is what we found in a yard the last couple of times out.

    V3 upgrade

Good advise given already and I use both machines. I think the weight is about the same on both units but the V3i is far better balanced. I can hunt all day with the V3i but only a couple of hours with the E-Trac before my shoulder starts hurting.

    White's VX3 - Settings for Utah?

You can't go by what others use in Utah, your ground conditions can change by walking across the street. The VX3 is like any other detector, you ground balance and adjust for stability, if it is noisy and falses, you have the gain and/or discrimination set too high. Ground conditions limits...
