    Coming Home

Welcome back Steve. I understand 100% with the good ole days. We reminisce more often than actually go hunting ourselves. Nancy and I used to go out for a day of hunting and come home with $50 to $60 in dirty pocket change plus some bling and silver. Now days, we might last an hour o_O but the...

Need advice on a DD coil for MXT

V rated means the coil has been nulled for all three frequencies of the V series. They work just as good on the single frequency MXT and dual frequency DFX.

Need advice on a DD coil for MXT

I have to agree with coinspader. The stock D2 is a great coil for most hunting and in high trash areas the SEF 6X8 was always my go to.

White's Spectra V3i cherry picking gold rings.

I totally agree with your findings on deep targets. Anything over 7 inches, for me anyway, the numbers mean very little to me. If the target is deep and sounds good and repeatable in all directions, I dig. You never know what is down there. Not always valuable, but often interesting.

    cold out

Way to go Steve, the next week looks promising for us...... at least better than 37 degrees.

White's Spectra V3i cherry picking gold rings.

M6? If you have one, fine, but if you can spend a few more bucks for the MXT, I would go that route.

White's Spectra V3i cherry picking gold rings.

Nancy uses Relic mode for everything and the audio is pretty simple. If you pass a bunch of targets over the coil, you will soon learn that good targets will give you a good clean sound and bad targets most likely are trashy sounding. There are exceptions to everything of course but knowing the...

White's Spectra V3i cherry picking gold rings.

I was a huge V3i user, fan and field tester for Whites but the best gold ring detector I am aware of is the MXT. The analog audio is exceptional with gold. My wife has called a gold ring in the ground many times when we were hunting together. She was the MXT moderator on here and she knows the...

    Pile of silver coins fs

Free shipping if you buy it all. We are selling the lot for a little less than spot price of $25.10/oz. Selling/Buying silver by weight is the cheapest and smartest way to buy. Some people buy/sell by a multiplier times face value of $109 but if you buy that way, you are paying for silver...

    Pile of silver coins fs

I took the time to count the silver so you know what you are getting. 40 Halves from Barber to JFK, 142 quarters, Barbers to Washingtons, 351 Rosies, 176 Merc's and 8 Barber dimes. That's face value of $109.

    Pile of silver coins fs

If you are interested in smaller lots of silver, we are easy to work with. We can go by the pound or 90% of face value but shipping becomes a factor in smaller lots. Most smaller lots buyer pays for shipping.

    Pile of silver coins fs

Nancy has 90 AV ounces of coins and being 90% silver, you are buying 81 ounces of silver @ $25/oz, $2025 total with free shipping. Nice mix of found and won coins at club hunts, all US coins. Can provide more pictures of the scale readout or coins. For those who know me and Nancy, we can go PP...

    New to hobby

This forum is full of them. Nancy and I started this forum back in 2011 when we were officers in the club. Back then P.A.T.H. was a huge club with $10,000 club hunts and so on. . Not only was Nancy president of the club for many years, she was the moderator of the MXT forum when Whites forums...

Thanks for the Kudos Darrel, it's amazing what you learn with 40+ years detecting. o_O Speaking of old age, :rofl:Happy 50th wedding anniversary to you and Star.

    New to hobby

Experience is the best teacher and trust your machine. The audio on most brands tells a big story of what is in the ground, an art you will learn over time. A trashy audio often is trash in the ground. A good target often has a good clean audio and pay attention to your display for clues and you...

Whites Eagle II SL 90 signal balance

I loved my Eagle as well and had a hard time moving up to the DFX. Once I learned how to use the DFX (a year), it was a no brainer. Then along came the Vision that I was a field tester for and then the Spectra series. So much has changed over the years. My first MD was a Radio Shack, top of...

Whites Eagle II SL 90 signal balance

Signal Balance is just a fancy name for sensitivity, a manual adjustment in addition to the keypad sensitivity. Put it on P (preset} and you will be fine. The only time I remember using it was in a heavy iron area or under a power line. I didn't stay long in those situations anyway.

    Key But No Treasure Chest

That is a dandy key for sure. It is hard to tell its size until you compare it to the glasses. Jail key maybe?
