XP confirms: Deus II will be waterproof to 20 meters, have simultaneous MF

Yup, I'm kinda surprised they didn't provide more info about those, including the two different audio options. All I've heard is waterproof, waterproof, multi-frequency, waterproof.

DEUS II eXPlore like never before

I just saw one place is taking pre-orders for $1600. At that price, I'll wait!

New XP Deus II.....Release Date or Pre-Orders?

I see one supplier taking pre-orders now for $1600. Unclear when that will ship, etc.

XP confirms: Deus II will be waterproof to 20 meters, have simultaneous MF

My initial read is that this is a big deal for anyone who dives or searches in more than shallow water. I don't, so assuming the price is $1200+, I'm inclined to sit on the sidelines until some independent reviews/tests come out. It also looks like backphones are the only headphone option to...

What I hope is on the new Deus... Lower iron volume setting. Whats your hope for the new machine?

That's a fair point. I very rarely use the pinpoint button as I find it faster and easier to X targets in whatever mode I'm searching in.

XP confirms: Deus II will be waterproof to 20 meters, have simultaneous MF

https://www.xpmetaldetectors.com/en/gamme/deus-ii-detectors.php What we know: SMF to compete with the Nox Waterproof to 20 meters, all wireless (including headphones) "PWM" and "Square" audio options (not really sure what the difference is?) No word yet on price/MSRP

What I hope is on the new Deus... Lower iron volume setting. Whats your hope for the new machine?

Didn't they just lower the price on the current Deus? I see them for $949 a couple places right now. I'm assuming that was a step they took with this new machine in mind. That said, an MF Deus for under $1000 would be Minelab's worst nightmare (and my dream!) so maybe you've got something there.

@coinworld What about the pinpoint button would you like to see improved?

New XP Detector will be a MF?

If it is a simultaneous MF machine, I wonder what the range of frequencies will be? Is there any reason why they couldn't do a coil that searches from 4 khz to 80 khz at once?

Get Ready | XP Metal Detectors

100% agree that this would be a great feature. My buddy has a V3i and swears by this for determining what's in the ground.

    New teaser

Pro: Simultaneous MF Deus with (perhaps) some other fun new features Con: The odds that I'm going to have to shell out $1,500 for a new detector just went up

Get Ready | XP Metal Detectors

It would be the ultimate machine for a whole bunch of places: the beach, relic hunts, parks, and so on. The question is: Does XP think there's more money in making an SMF coil for the existing Deus or in creating an entirely new machine (potentially with SMF/other features)? I'd prefer the...

Get Ready | XP Metal Detectors

I hope simultaneous multi-frequency is a part of this. Buying an MF coil that works with my existing Deus setup would be amazing.

ID normalization do you ever turn it off?

All this reminds me of a trick I've read about but haven't tried yet: If you turn ID norm off and create two programs at different frequencies -- say, one at 4 khz and one at 17 khz -- you can hunt in the higher frequency but use the lower one to check questionable targets, especially high...

ID normalization do you ever turn it off?

I do, mostly at the lower frequencies. Having the ID numbers spread out over a wider range is handy, especially if you're hunting coins and want to differentiate between those and certain kinds of trash. At one of my sites, for instance, there's a certain type of scrap metal spread around that...

    Elliptical coil

I'll second that. I like the HF elliptical, but I mostly hunt for coins and would love something that size with the lower frequencies. I also wouldn't mind a hockey puck-style sniper coil for the Deus. Imagine the separation on something like that when you crank the reactivity up to 3+!

    silicone cover

I have the same cover and know exactly what you're talking about. My solution: I leave it on most of the time, usually just cleaning the outside with a wipe or wet cloth after each hunt. Occasionally, I take it off to clean the cover and remote completely. When it's time to put it back on the...

    GTI 1500

I picked one up second-hand a few years back. It's definitely not state-of-the-art anymore, but if you can get a good deal on it, it's a fun one to take out. The target sizing feature is an interesting approach that you haven't really seen replicated since.

    XP deus water hunting

How durable is the transmitter cable? It looks so thin that I'd be worried about it getting caught on something and breaking.

where is the new deus multi ??

A few videos I've watched on the Nox offer the following tip: Once you find a target in with simultaneous multi-frequency, check it on a single frequency to see if it's worth digging (e.g., if you get a high tone that isn't so clean in MF, check it at 4 khz to see if it sound better). That's...
