    was all my fault. After playing with the settings I decided to do a reset on the detector. then the volume was back to normal. Ive got a lot to learn,but having fun learning.

    thanks all for the info. I went out to our city soccer an baseball park for three hours. did just fine. well I just got finished playing with my legand setting on my bed, trying to learn the settings. I have read where other users have said that you couldn't turn the volume up much pass 3 for it...

    Thanks for the info. I just bought the legand. Though a bit heavy with the big coil, Ill be getting the 9.5/ 5 coil. anyway ill try the screen covers, and thanks again.

    Ive been a jewelry hunter, water an land, for 30 years. Best detector ive ever had, an still have it,is my DFX. just getting too heavy for my 78 year old arms and shoulders. Ill be getting the lg 24 coil very soon for the legand anyway I hope I don't miss the 0 _ 99 vdi too much.

    Some people like less numbers some more numbers. Relic hunters seems to favor lest numbers. because of my age an other things,I don't hunt salt water beaches or relics. Ive always used a detector with o - to 99 vdi. I have a legand coming. but I thing I can get use to the 0 - 60 vdi. sense you...

    legand tone

    Not so much the high tones or low tones but the mid range that sounded so much like a flute concert. on the nox. to my ears. I just traded in my nox 700 for a legand. Should get it sometime next week. This will for sure, be the last detector ill ever get. so like it or not ill have to enjoy it.

    Both I guess. I was watching his videos about the score an double score. on one of the videos he was testing the simplex ulta an the simplex lite on a 12 inch half.

    Changing the subject a little but did you see calabash diggers video where he detected his 12 inch deep buried half in his test garden with a simplex lite. In the video the half sounded of. repeatable both side of his swing. That was hard for me to believe.

    Watched a video of calabash digger swinging a simplex lite over a half dollar buried 12 inches in his test garden. the lite was able to detect the half. That is just hard for me to believe.

    legand tone

    the mid tones, for my ears, is the worst. I bought the nox on a whim. I really never like minelabs that much. Ive had two exterra 705 Detectors. they were ok, and the tones were ok. If the tones on the nox were the same as the old exterras I could live with it. I guess Ill hunt with my xp orx...

    Can the pitches be adjusted so the legand don't sound like a nox. I thought I wanted a nox until I bought one. Ive only used my nox four times. I know I wont ever get used to the fluty sound.
