    Found cannonball is this a exploding cannonball

    I remember this too. A real shame. This gentleman had defused many of these artillery shells over the years, and this one time something went terribly wrong. They said this exploding she'll sent a piece of iron shell frag spiraling through the front door of a home a 1/4 of a mile away.

    I have been considering getting an Equinox 600 for the lighter weight and the fewer bells and whistles that I feel I don't need. Then, Bam....the Minelab X Terra Elite shows up. I really like the looks of this detector and the overall set up. This looks like a lot of technology for a fair price...

    Thanks Rick. I have always bought from an authorized dealer in the past. I have been looking at the Minelab equinox 600 and they are getting harder to find. This is why I was asking about amazon, they seem to have quite a few, but I'd still feel better in the end dealing with a reputable dealer...

    Is it safe to buy a minelab metal detector off of amazon.? I guess what I'm asking is if you would get a true minelab and not a Chinese knock off. I have bought quite a few detectors over the years, usually from a legit dealer or from a well known forum member. I'm looking at the minelab equinox...

    I hunted in Culpepper last weekend

    Great hunt for sure. I always wanted to find one of those old whiskey bottles. They are so cool looking. It's hard to believe that they can survive so many years underground.,but they can and do.
