    Things I've noticed...

Thanks Larry. Ok...I can agree to that, under the right conditions and it would have to be OLD gold. That said...I think its safe to say under most conditions, at least in most parks, its unlikely to find gold jewelry with the halo effect. At least not in my (low min) area.

    Things I've noticed...

If your numbers were between 30-40, that is not bad...I wouldnt consider it "everywhere". Now if your numbers are 15-20 off... thats different. Regarding the "halo" on the gold ring I doubt it, as gold does not oxidize. Thanks.

    Things I've noticed...

I've had my V3 going on 2yrs and noticed that every gold ring Ive found has always sounded very solid and repeatable, and in analyze mode it even looked good. Out of all the thousands of pulltabs I've dug, very few ever really sound that solid and repeatable except for the new square tabs (23...

    V3i and CZ

Lawrenzeno, Ive noticed you've been asking around alot regarding the V3 so I'll just give you my 2cents worth. I have both machines, and my 1021 has been calibrated by Nasa Tom and air tests a dime around 12". My V3i is a very deep machine (especially in boost) and I would say its just as deep...

VDI of Silver??? Better Think Twice! (Part 1)

Thanks alot Neil, good to know stuff! I found one of those silver mail rings, exactly like yours, thought it was silver, but when it came up low VDI thought it was aluminum but was so heavy. I wonder what I did with it?.......

    I was just curious....

I have been pounding an old park area that has produced alot of good stuff with various machines over a long time, so one day I decided to grid a area off 3ft x 3ft and put the V3i in prospect mode and see what could I find. There is sooo much trash in this one area, its unbelievable...its very...

    A first in 25yrs...

For those who are unfamiliar with a Trime, it is a VERY small and VERY thin coin. I thought I would include some photos. The gold coin is a US $1 (1853), it is even more smaller in diameter than the Trime, although it is ALOT thicker and reeded, the Trime is not (the sandwiched middle coin)...

    Old(?) Buckle...

I was hunting a old homesite (1920), and found this buckle close to a 150+ yr old oak. It came up as quarter on the LTD, Im assuming its brass. I dont know a whole lot about buckles. Thanks.

Lost & Recovered Gold.... For One Of The Few & The Proud :usmc:

This past Memorial weekend I was up in Northern Michigan at my buddys cabin and he took me to a little beach around 7miles away to do some water hunting with my Excaibur II. This is a man made lake and I quickly learned it wasnt going to be easy to hunt because of the clay bottom. Bringing up...
