    Shot bullets

Please treat them with respect. They might have ended someone's life or crippled them.

    Gray Ghost amphibian headphones

I have some for the Legend. They are as hot but no hotter than other large headphones. I am used to the headphones on my Tesoro Stingray in the water so the Gray Ghosts seem too quiet there and they aren't adjustable. I don't use them much on land unless it is raining hard. They are nice for...

    Mojave on the bay

I see a Mojave on the big auction site sold for $660 after 11 bids! That's just crazy. They have another one there with a clean sweep coil for which they are asking $1200. No surprise it hasn't sold.

Why don't the new machines have GPS?

To me, it is just like the spyware in your car, tv, cell phone, etc. It would be a great way to prove you were trespassing or place you close to the scene of a crime or like the cell phones of the people in the Capitol on January 6, track you down for a supposed crime. Also a great way to...

    F75 vs T2

VID numbers are different, iron is 1 to 15 on F75 and 1 to 40 on the T2. The F75 has notch capability the T2 lacks. In boost mode the T2 is solely 2 tone while the F75 boost works in all the tones. The F75 has a no motion all metal and a super fast mode which the T2 doesn't. The F75...

    Legend

It is set up a lot like your Garrett and works great straight from the box. I'm sure you will find the tone very expressive and numbers quite accurate. If you notched out anything on the Garrett, you can do the same with the Legend. If you always wished the Garrett had more tones, it is...

Picked up another Beep and Dig

I use rechargeable 9v batteries all the time. The first ones were Maximal Power 600mah lithium. They are over 10 years old and still work fine. My newer ones are EBL lithium 650 mah lithium. Both brands have been perfect for me. They last a long time between charges and hold a charge for...

    Numeric reading for Tungsten??

I have a man sized one laying flat on the floor registers 38 on the Legend, which uses the same scale; on edge, the VID length wise is 20, and perpendicular, bouncing from 34 to 42. The ring is about 1" OD, a little over 1/4" tall and 1/16" thick.

    Civil War bullet experts

Mine says copyright 1996, no mention of edition. The reference is in the ".54-.73 Caliber for Rifles, Rifle Muskets, and Muskets" reference 130.

    Civil War bullet experts

The book said they were squeezed together between two punches and the grooves and body taper were turned on a lathe later. It has examples of zero and 3 grooves. It says they were manufactured in the North. Finding a bullet made on a lathe anywhere is quite amazing.

    Civil War bullet experts

Whitworths were .451 and used polygonal rifling. I don't know whether the .451 was from the flats or the edges on the fired bullet. "A Handbook of Civil War Bullets & Cartridges" has a reference to a 54 cal RM with no grooves on page 32. Diameter .537, length 1.04, weight 457

    Coin tumbling question…

I had some that looked like that when I tumbled some overnight. The water was black as was the foam on top. I found if I tumbled for a half to a full hour and then changed the water and cleaned the gravel and tumbled again with cleaned media, the coins were much better. First tumble I use rough...

    Legend Settings

For a beginner that gets frustrated, default and high bottle cap rejection should help. The iron filter is already maxed out at default but bottle caps can still sound good to a beginner. BC rejection stops that. It will lose good targets but your son will find many good ones without digging...

I would say muskrat. Definitely not a mole and doesn't look like any rat I have seen.
