    The Separation from iron targets on the Manticore is amazing!!

    I located this tiny target last week. which is an old stile striker for a Zippo lighter. It is two tiny brass gears attached to a steel cylinder in the middle. The Manticore was able to pick this up at 4 inches! Nothing can hide. (The background is the ridges on a paper towel)

    Run that puppy at recovery speed 7 and see the spacing on the targets as the coil goes over. I'm usingth 9 in and 5x8 almost exclusively. I'll put the big on on for some plowed field hunting

    My first detector was a Whites 4DB (Sears). worked great and when I got the discrimination down I found a lot. Can't imagine that I did not have a pinpointer back then.

    The Manticore is great in trash infested areas with the 7 recovery speed that Mark mentioned. It is also amazing on little pieces of silver and gold, but then you also get the tiny pieces of aluminum too. I really think the nothing can hide with the Manti.

    OBN- Are Bob Trevillian and Frank Carter from Diamonds in the Surf still active? I think they had a detector store in Glen Burnie in the 80's
