    Thanks. Yes I'm not picky. I see a lot of guys turn their noses up when they find a wheaty. Not me! The Manticore seems to really sniff out the nickels too. I did dig a lot of trash thou, aluminum pop/beer caps. Well aluminum trash in general. I was trying to find some gold too.

    Vortex Bang for Buck

    Really to me it seems like a simplified 2d screen. The garrett vortex vx9 has a upper ferrous bar, a lower ferrous bar & the goods non-ferrous bar in the center of the 2 ferrous bar. Yeah I know it don't paint a pretty shape for you.

    Maybe it's me, but isn't the new garrett vortex screen some what the same thing as the minelabs manticore 2D Screen. That's my take on it & maybe with a touch more info too than the manticore.

    Congrats. I'm not a CW bullet guy, but it sure has the right patina to it. What diameter is it if measured with calipers. That might help others make a better educated guess. Nice!

    With a flat shank of sorts, I'm wondering if it is some type of leather decoration. But yes with the patina on it. It is I'm sure over 100 years old.

    Yep I think Garrett has got something else up their sleeve. I should just order a vx9. I myself see alot of the Whites V3i in the new Garrett, but in a more user friendly package. I know for 1, once it's in hands of someone like you we will all know what to expect from it.

    I would just get the VX9. I got a feeling Garrett is going to offer another upgrade option for only the ones who own the VX9. This of course is my opinion thou.
