    I’ve tried wire wheeling them but such a dusty dirty mess and very hard on the wire wheel as well because it take so long do do one piece and the results for me were less than impressive…the rust on these things is very very strong and so etched into the items that I didn’t think there was a way...

    Oddest dang hunt so far, just odd…..

    I agree with Miserman .. We usually find wetter soil to be better,which it typically is but the same moisture that is making the coins sound louder can also magnified the effect of iron and ground minerals.. ive experienced this many years ago at the beach..there were probably about 20 people...
