    Nice find and different

I like different. I hit the Dog Headed Whistle today at a cellar hole. It’s marked Sterling so it’s after 1860. Got a holed copper green disc of nothingness and a key fob also. Skeeters 🦟 we’re tough but the digging was good. Running my Deep Coppers Program. Get out there.

Why has there been no update to the Minelab treasure task for over 2 years?

Frankly it's hysterical to expect much of anything from Minelab. Ask a CTX owner when their next update is. Ask them how to roll out a new product properly. Sell things they do. Back them up not so much. Good machines really bad administration.

ID normalization do you ever turn it off?

abcoin has it. yes I hunt with the ID Norm off. The reason is so that you can use the different IDs as an iron checker. As described above. Two identical programs right next to each other with the only difference being a frequency change. swing a target get an TID number at say 18 kHz Swap...

    Deus Remote Faceplace Replacement

I had to change mine about two years ago due to an errant shovel throw. It was easy to do and I got just the face plate from Detector Electronics in Massachusetts. Best I can tell you.

    By request (again)

How not to be a "Dick" on the digger pages and forums. When someone posts their find of the day. Give them the thumbs up or like or comment. It doesn't matter what the find is. If you like it and the person is your friend or not, say something. Don't comment that you have one too or yours is...

It has been hot (in the 90's) and Mercury is rising!

Those are fine finds. Good for you. What is silent EMI ? How do you know when you’ve got a problem from it and how do you know that you have in fact gotten rid of it effectively? Are you saying that it gives no signs that it’s there but it is and needed to be dealt with?

    crazy deep target

It's all about settings. You have no idea how the other guy had set his unit up. That's the difference. I did a video on YouTube years ago comparing natural targets marked with flags between an Elliptical and a 11" coil. Six targets found with each coil. I couldn't find a target that they didn't...
