    Manticore

I experience plenty of that myself but it kills me to leave behind even zinc readings if they sound a little better than normal. The biggest drawback with using the Legend is the crowded target VDI in the 40+ range.

    Manticore

Dirt has lot to do with VDI when you start talking about 1 digit differences. In my dirt on the etrac , CTX dimes often read lower than a copper 12-43 vs 12-44 for a copper , zincs much lower to 12-37 , on the legend dimes never go above 46 , coppers 44-46. Why you would care is beyond me ...

    Newer Metal Detectors

I don't like doing it either but that seems to be the trend these days , just like sealed components , lithium batteries , carbon fiber and multi-frequency. Technology marches forward whether good or more complicated. I just started using a smart phone a couple of months ago and we are all going...

    Charging

I noticed the same thing the other day. I also have a screen saver on mine that is about a 1/16 short of the top of the screen and it further obscures the view a bit. To see the icon I have to almost try to look under the top edge of the control housing but it is there. Appears to just turn...

I found out why my Nokta Legend broke

Totally Greek to me , all I know is I plugged in the adapters on numerous occasions for several months and never has an issue. I'm sure Nokta would appreciate a conversation with a technical person that understands the nuances of electrical engineering. I'm much more competent at building...

    Want to ask a question

Interesting , I have run 7 and 8 but was fearing it would lose depth in my crappy soil. I'll give it another go now that we are starting to thaw out(y)

    Charging

There may be,,,I just got tired of looking for it and have been living with it the way it is. I have come close to running out of juice a couple of times when I hadn't charged it and was using a lot of 4khz with lighting and wired headphones ; no problems since I made a few changes. When I see...

    Charging

I have had the same question and as far as I can tell , when fully charged the little battery icon stops showing that it is taking a charge with just the plain battery icon and no flashing. I just turn it on and if there is no movement at that icon I assume it is fully charged. While charging...

I found out why my Nokta Legend broke

I ran headphone adapters on my legend for the first few months before I started using the Avantree wireless and had no issues. I had a couple of different adapters but they were both from Nokta . Was you adapter from them or another manufacturer?

    Alternative grips for F75?

I had a couple 75s and was always disappointed by the cheapo foam wrap and the wobbly control head especially for what was once a $1000 flagship machine. When the first handle became too dirty to stand i peeled it off and used a small pool noodle wrapped with that self adhering vet wrap stuff. I...

    New digger.

I had one , strictly a soft ground tool which we have little of here. The bride uses it now in her garden of black dirt. I prefer the narrow blade of the Lesche style and like a hand guard at the handle junction for additional surface to push on which is very important when the ground is hard...

    Giant crystal

I would guess garnet. If you crush it up real well and glue it to some stiff paper you might be able to sell it as sandpaper
