    Searchscan metal detectors?

I had it,but since I don't live near a big body of water...sold it. It was a pulse unit and I didn't want to dig every metal target. I mainly bought it to flip or trade for another metal detector. Man,it's been over 2 years ago!

Detectors that have stood the test of time.

Treasure Baron Cointrax. I have the late Reg Sniff's personal example. It has the latest chip version. I will treasure it always. I have 3 coils for it. 5.5,8 and rare Hothead 12". It doesn't like iron, even hotrocks! You don't see very many of these anymore.

I've added a new spare handle. This can be charged by any USB cable charger cord.

Quest Q40 metal detector control pod

This is a spare I got a while ago from a vendor that had left over stock in a warehouse. Tested and works. It doesn't have a coil or rod system. This is ideal for someone who already owns an X5/X10 or Q20 metal detector. The Q40 will share the same coils as the aforementioned metal...

That would be the Vantage AD-14. Not very many were made. Pretty much the 'last hurrah' for D-Tex.

    Bounty hunter coil question

That's what I've been trying to tell you. The Discovery 1100,2200 and 3300 operate at the same frequency as your Big Bud XL. 6.6 khz

Ferret Hot Head coil High Energy

Made by the same manufacturer that produced the Discovery Electronics Treasure Baron coils. Ferrets were available for Garrett and Whites. Most were marked with either a 'W' for Whites and 'G' for Garrett. Price would be around $50-$75. Only trouble is...Whites 600 coil is too close in size...

    Whites 6000 D vs. 6000 DI ????

The later 6000/Di Professional series have a 'Sensitivity' knob to increase power. The original 6000/Di Series 2 and 3 didn't. The black box 6000/Di replaced the 'Signal Balance' for 'Sensitivity' adjustment.

    Whites 6000 D vs. 6000 DI ????

The 6000/D has a depth meter and the 6000/Di has a discrimination indicator(VDI) meter. The units that have a meter mounted at the front of the handle started with the 'Series 3'. The earlier models were on the control housing.

Is this where First Texas is heading? Pushing a low end unit? Derailed?

Kellyco (Discovery Electronics/ Treasure Baron) Cobra 2 Question

Yes,you are correct. I really like using the Barons. I have a plastic box Millennium CoinTrax Baron with V2.2 microchip. Best detector to use around hothocks and usually doesn't get fooled by iron.
