    V3i backlit display

I actually can prefer a night hunt as it's just you,the detector, and the target with heightened senses. For a night hunt you obviously need additional light beside that great screen and I have four different sources with different uses. Six LED brimmed baseball hat for vision as you turn your...

    Settings for EMI

That was one great answer Rob! I'd become a little forgetful and have not been using Correlate (where I know it would have helped).

Per your question Mr Rob .. Why not start a new post to discuss the features needed and ones that are just frosting on the cake.

Glad to! I run really close to stock for a lot of hunting but if I go into a large metropolitan area and hunt say parking strips or areas that have a big nest of overhead, cranking back sensitivities to where they are still ever so slightly still noisy, (after picking best filter and single...

Heavy use of Tone Control and TX Boost means a lot to me.....places I hunt are sometimes horrible with EMI. (Opens up this "frontier" like magic.) Icing can run deep.

    In General

It's the one for me and I've messed with them all. Of course to be fair.....the V3i is what I've spent the most time with but the fact stands, the interface and depth of what you can make happen rules for the big picture with me.Every main manufacturer make machines that produce success....but...

Will CTX-3030 Wireless Headphones work with a VX3?

We don't have a "popcorn" image to use here......have it in my hand though.

Short hunt waiting on lunch group!

That emerald in 18k looks to be very nice/rare if it's real. Have THAT looked at!

    Whites pinpointer?

With the Bullseye II being a decent pinpointer.....w/a PITB button issue where they did the typical "White's taking care of you thing"............bet it'll be good "with a vengence".

    925 ring VS 1949 dime

    Rob is gold.

    Any VX3 Fans Here?

Your attitude about the adjustments "opening up understanding" on how a detector really works to make it all easy.......that's the best and most realistic approach I've ever seen stated around here. (My hat is off to you trip.) The dang machine is a thing of satisfying beauty.

Small Coil , Which one is the best?

TX boost and the small coils are a match made in heaven living here in the Pacific Northwest. Just getting in tight to rough ground amongst the brambles is huge not to mention the rough hillsides. People here built along the railroad tracks too. You can think all you want to about...

    Things are really slow

Hey....Clarkston was where I mostly learned detecting! Science says there is no relationship concerning moisture content in the ground and signal patterns......we all know the academia world is WRONG to the point of it being ridiculous. (Good to see ya and PM me if you want to talk about what...

    readings on wheatbacks

Another variable is what the ground has done to the surface composition of a coin. Because of this it is always good to dig a lot of deeper targets when you first get going on a site and dig even shallower ones when you see a pattern that shows up frequently. Below are three situations where...

Could only be without a V3i for a week!

Sold my V3i last week and have been using a DFX, AT Pro (loaner), and F75 (another loaner. Just had a hard time with missing my baby. Put a request in today for an additional one for me through the shop.

    Had to sell my V3i!

It had the basic stock items (w/HPs') and a 6x9,bag,and coil covers.....$1275.00. I felt it was a fair deal for the purchaser but sure missed it this morning!

    Any VX3 Fans Here?

"that complicated V3i".....have a feeling your not going to find that so...... Monte has a way of squeezing every ounce of performance out of a concentric because he has made himself so comfortable with them. "Comfort" is the most important adjustment of them all and bet that VX3 use has you...

    Match Search

I remember hearing of using the settings like that and never used them in that way. That sure puts some core adjusting and info "right there" just a toggling away from a whole different setup.....cool.

    Had to sell my V3i!

An opportunity came up to purchase a rare piece of vintage audio that would have been way too shortsighted to pass up! Not a wit of seller's remorse here, will be using my DFX for the first time in a long time tomorrow and know I'll be missing the V3i. Gold chain will be pretty much out of the...

    Narrow signals

Looks like you're starting to take some good steps in becoming "one" with your box! (Just getting closer with your settings and finding nice targets sure keeps that leaning curve fun doesn't it?) Fun to see you grow cy.

    Any VX3 Fans Here?

By the time you even learn the V3i moderately, it for all intents and purposes becomes as easy as the VX3. I've always held the contention that a deep menu,no matter how easy it really is, puts mental road blocks "up" in some minds (we are all different in how we process learning....no good or...
