    Yep. Tesoro went out of business about 7 months after I bought my Vaquero and now Whites. Although I never had a White's machine there is no doubt they were good. Hard to keep up with a $245 machine.

    I bought one from a lady here in Louisiana for $85 and sent it in to Rusty and he said it's perfect. Then I put it in the closet and haven't used it since. Got an AT-Pro and a Nokta Simplex + and hope to drag out out sometime this summer. Hope I remember all the stuff.

    A buddy of mine had one of those and he hunted hard with it. He would send it in right when it was about wore out and they'd tune it out and slap a new coil on it and he was ready to go again.

    Jimmy Sierra headphones not working on Simplex +

    I have a set of Jimmy Sierra Maxi Phones 2 and they're not working with my simplex. Call tech support and was told mono headphones won't work with the Simplex+! I don't know if these were mono or not. They work with my At-Pro. Does anyone know?

    Really you don't have to Notch out anything I just leave mine in Pro Custom and turn the iron up and it's quiet until it hits something. Relax and Hunt. It's a great machine and you will enjoy it. Just take some time with it. You can also call Garrett and they're great with walking you through...

    Try putting it in Pro mode custom and notch out just a few things. I don't know if this machine is like my AT-Pro but I suspect it is. It's quieter in Pro mode and you can reduce the iron. Just push iron up to 35 and you won't hear it anymore

    Thinking about a Simplex plus

    Thank you I just ordered my Nokta Simplex + today. I also have a Bandido 2 micromax with two coils. I don't use it much as that Tesoro Vaquero is a beast. I'm gonna get it because I've done my research and even spoke to the guy in Georgia that services the Nokta's. I hope I enjoy it.
