First Outing with the Whites Eagle Spectrum 2 hrs

I figured I would post a message boasting on the Whites Eagle Spectrum. To be honest I thought only the Eagle Spectrum Pro had the back light this detector rocks. The second dig a sterling ring the sixth dig a silver ring. I found about a dollar and a half in change but the rings were more...

Waiting on a Whites Eagle Spectrum

Waiting on a Whites Eagle Spectrum. I have a Garrett Ace 350 and this is a great coin detector. My feeling is the Whites line of detectors are a better choice for finding gold. I have found gold with the garret but I don't believe this is a great choice for a all around machine. The Whites Eagle...

    Garrett 350 to a Quantum 2

I was just curious is there any Quantum 2 owners that could share an exciting find or two that they have landed using the Quantum 2. It seems to be a break away of the eagle and a step before the XLT. I do have history with Whites products. First was a rental about five years ago to find a...

Horse Bridle from Durarble Log Co Lewiston Me. Pat 1878

Well I couldn' t think of a possible better place to start than here. I found this full belt in a river bank adjacent to farm fields. My thought based on the age of the trees that separated this large opening to the river was this had to be a crossing at some point years ago. This belt was not...

    Cape Cod Natonal Shores

Certain areas in Cape Cod are cared for by the Cape National Shores. Metal detecting is strictly prohibited. Does anyone know of any specifics on smaller town beaches or private beach regulations? Cape Cod Mass.

    Quick question?

I have a Garrett Ace 350 its a good metal detector but it wouldn't be my choice at the beach. I had my bosses metal detector last year while on vacation. He has the whites DFX I believe it has the spectrum coil on it I found a nice men's wedding band 14kt 5.2 grams. My question is in regard to...

Plans for the Garrett Ace 350

Plan on doing more detecting than fishing this year on vacation. I just picked up a RTG scoop it was a long time coming 20 days. I found a nice men's wedding band last year and my hope is to duplicate. The band is what influenced me to buy a metal detector. I borrowed my bosses dfx that is a...

    RTG Scoop or a Fake?

Just picked up an RTG 733 scoop it took twenty days to reach me. I am actually apprehensive that this actually a RTG 733 now with the long delay and all. The only difference I see is the brace tube in the rear of the scoop is square instead of tubular. Should the RTG have a manufactures sticker...

Yesterday I went for a couple hour hunt with the Ace 350 . The rain started so my digging towel soon became a control protector. I didn't let the rain end this hunt and soon had my first interesting find of the day a Japanese coin 5 Yen, I believe. I was close on silver in the baseball field...
