    sidewalk strips

Homeowners might think that they own them but they don't.... it wouldn't be a bad idea to wear an orange or light green vest like utility workers wear. Not only are really close to traffic it will probably satisfy most homeowners curosity. I have done it but have never been approached bby...

    Hi Pro

I copied this from another forum. The writer is in Italy. Maybe it will have some application to Greece, I don't know. The author does not speak english. I hope he does not mind his post being re-posted. His name is PiadaKid and you can probably find the original post by doing a google search of...

    VDI not reading correctly

Rob said: I make sure I dig good sounding signals when I get to a site. I don't start rejecting VDI until I see a pattern for that ground and site. That is some good way of doing business! I do the same thing and I imagine most seasoned hunters do... my problem is I have a hard time stopping...

    VDI not reading correctly

that makes me wonder if the the adjustment that is supossed to match the particular coil that is being used is set correctly, or if it is maybe a different setting would do better? You might also try getting the best ground balance you can get, that might have some effect. Adjusting the GB...

V3 seems to have xray vision through the junk

I can't tell you how many times I have found a good target in someone elses fresh dug hole. I don't know if they are those people who don't use a pinpointer or if they recovered a can or nail and covered the hole... who knows but yep, always check the hole again. I bet you're glad you rechecked...

Favorite coil for the Spectra V3

You have to leave it in the truck and buy flowers in order for it to work. J

Couple of nice little finds at a "hunted" out location

most everyone in the area knows where these "hunted out" sites are... they just don't hunt them because they think they are "hunted out" and to most people they are. One of my favorite places is a "hunted out" park (i've had two people in the last six months come up to me and do me the favor of...

My coil cable connector worked itself loose...

I've never noticed this happening before but I just happened to check to connection and it was really loose. I always tighten them good then wiggle them and retighten... so, you might want to check the connector to be sure it is tightly screwed on from time to time... I can't imagine how it...

    everything is a neckel

Make sure "Tone ID" is on. In the stock Coin and Jewelry program Tome ID is off. I have one site that is across from the site of a very old RR depot. It is the lawn of a Victorian home. The lawn is so full of cinder that most targets don't register on any detector i've used (I have not had the...

Just a little more help toward understanding the RX Gain and Discrimination sensitivity controls.

Good post Rob... For me, the more times I hear something explained and the more simply, the sooner it "clicks" with me and then I begin to understand. Just being told what to do, tells me nothing until I understand why I am doing it. Your explaination here is really clear... I was starting to...

Another V3 "i" question... Anne...?? (hint hint)

Ah, I thought you were referring to me since you responded to my post in the thread... sorry. In any case... if it were something that was easy and was available I would be happy to pay 125 bucks for it.. I don't expect a free lunch and am very happy that White's chose to offer a 125 dollar...

Just a little more help toward understanding the RX Gain and Discrimination sensitivity controls.

This is all very helpful for people like me who both have a hard time learning and tend to forget in the field... laff. Seriously, thanks! Julien

Another V3 "i" question... Anne...?? (hint hint)

What are you talking about... I made a joke.... about instead of paying 125 for the upgrade and 125 for something else (that is not available) I might be able to buy them together for 250. Duh... I have no idea what complaining you are referring to... are you serious? I have not complained...

Favorite coil for the Spectra V3

My favorite right now is the SEF 8x6, 2nd is the D2. I also have the 5.3 and the 4x6. I like the 4x6 but it loses a little depth but is deadly on more shallow targets like under 6". I have not found a concentric coil that I care for... i've just always used DD coils and can't seem to warm up to...
