    Excessive Heat Watch

    Rain

    We got 1.2" last night. Still not enough to go detecting. I don't know about you guy's but they are calling for a chance of a record high here tomorrow. Good by moisture.

    Rescued My Birth Year Today

    Went to a different spot today The very first coin I dug was a 1955D Wheat Pennie. We both share the same birth year. I thought it was pretty neat to have found it. :detecting:

    I just realized

    Up until this year I have never dug a nickel. Back in the early 80's I had them discriminated out. There was to many pull tabs where we used to hunt. So I guess it's now official. My first nickel to date is a Jefferson. Another one off the bucket list. :cheers:

    I don't believe this

    Went out detecting for awhile today. I was zoned in on the hunt when I happened to look up. Here was a full grown Oak tree chasing a dog. Now tell me it's not dry. :yikes:

    Metal Detecting Can Be Dangerous

    Low Mineral Soil

    My soil here is considered low mineral. I have 2 coils here which are the 950 and the 10x12 SEF. With my soil what coil would you use? The areas that I hunt are pretty good sized usually acres in size. TIA

    Holy Cow!!!
