For you guy's that have been lucky enough to find some 3 ringers would you please post up some pics of them. I am having 3 ringer withdraws. TIA

You can go back and look at past posts Robbie. here are some of my finds in Illinois, the one on the left was LA. finds. You should not have to go too far South to find some past Civil War activity, Missouri was a hot spot early in the war. Go to the Links post to research CW activity in MO, I bet you without even looking that there were battles within an hour of you.

Larry, You hit the nail right on the head. This is an hour from my place. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Athens_(1861)

Getting hot down here too fast this year. Gonna be tough digging before long with the humidity. Things slow down during the summer. Too much heat and too many snakes. :starwars: Good Luck. CCH

Same here in North Ga. CCH. Too many copperheads and yellow jackets in my bullit hole down by the creek!

Now that you know where a battle was, you have your work cut out for you to find out where the Union and Confederate camps were. I'm sure the battlegrounds are off limits but the farm fields can often be hunted for the asking. Research, research, research.
