Congrats on your new detector. I'd get the Garrett pro, I think it's a much better and longer lasting probe. :beers:

    Stock programs?

How are the stock programs on the etrac? Is it any better than any other detector or do you have to get into customizing for relic hunting and coin hunting both coin shooting as well as dep coins?

    V3i stock programs? Also V3 / V3i differences

Yes and I have talked to people that own them. Some say no problem and others say there is a pretty good learning curve to really get anything out of the detector. So I have to say I am very confused, LOL so I am asking for any other or new input that may be out there. I do not want to be one...

    V3i stock programs? Also V3 / V3i differences

I have to say, I have been trying to read on this forum about the V3 and others as well and it seems very confusing. I am not sure if I should be really considering one at this time or sticking with the MXT. Thanks!:beers:

    V3i stock programs? Also V3 / V3i differences

I was curious how the stock programs were on the V3? Does it have any advantages over the MXT or DFX even in stock mode? Also, what has changed from the V3 and V3i?

    Money Laundering

I find a little aquarium rock (picked up at any pet store, wal mart, etc. and a bag lasts a l-o-n-g time), water and a shot of dish soap works very well. Keep pennies and clad seperate. I put the coins in after work and after work the next day there in good shape. Nice hual by the way! :beers:

You may want to start digging those low VDI numbers?

On my MXT I have tested my girlfriends gold ring I gave her and it's in the 6-8 range (Foil). So especially the ladies rings seem to come up very low.

    How complicated is the V3???

I have a MXT and was thinking of getting the new MXT Pro. However, I cannot help to wonder if I should be thinking more on the line of the V3? I am afraid of going to hi tech, as I am not a tech guy. I hear of more silver finds with the V3, whether it is true or not, I don't know for sure. Any...

A couple questions on the GT

    1. Does the GT sound like the Excaliber? 2. Is the GT basically the same as the excal? 3. How is the meter when attached to the detector? Pretty consistant and accurate with finds? Thanks, John :drinking:

Anyone relic hunt with the GT?

I see the GT does well at the beach. There is little about the GT inland. Anyone have experience or knowledge of how well this detector performs in fields and woods? That would be my primary use or should I be looking at a different detector? Thanks

What batteries work best for your Tejon?

Which batteries work well with the Tejon? I have heard that they can be finicky. Mine came with Panasonic oxyrides, but cannot find them in the stores around here. Will the energizer and duracell due fine? Thanks

Excal 1000 and land / relic hunting

I am planning on doing a couple of planned relic hunts this year and they are rain or shine. I was curious if it rained, would the excal be worth while relic hunting? Any experiences or thoughts, settings, etc. would be great. Thanks
