    If it's anything like the Minelab 6' round, it should be super. I ordered a 10x5" too. Probably won't see the coils in hand until mid March or April. All we can do is hope it performs better and gets here quickly.

    If you liked the SP28 coil then you probably will like the Nel Superfly. Personally I'll wait for the Nel Snake.

    The Nel Superfly coil may turn out to be great, but it's only 2 ounces less and 1 inch larger than the standard 11' Simplex SP28 coil. That original coil was like swinging a garbage can lid, really awkward. Not being negative, but I just parked my Simplex detector until the 9.5"x 5" SP24 coil...

    Taking way longer than anticipated to release those Nel coils. Not holding my breath. Got a Minelab Vanquish 440 instead and am quite impressed.

    Not too bad. Actually pretty good. Once you get used to the Vanquish signals you tend to find a lot more good stuff. Tell her congrats.

    Nice trade for you. Hope you gave the chap a few bucks along with the Simplex. Only other reason to trade that way would be if the Minelab lithium battery is older than 2-2.5 years. If everything checks out, you made a great deal. A little envious to be truthful.

    First full hunt with the Simplex

    Yes indeed. Snake for sure. Sharrpshooter (12.03 oz), I would have done but already have the Makro 9.5x5.5 (14.75 oz), and don't want to duplicate. Seems Nel coils of the same size always come it lighter than the stock coils.

    2.77 or 2.78

    Was told by many to do 2.77. Some say 2.78 may be a little quieter but you give up some depth. So far for me, 2.77 is working fine. Also one youtube video said Nokta juiced up the Simplex to give the same depth with the 9.5x5.5 coil as with the stock coil. Think it's a personal choice.

    Looks like Nel will ship out coils for Simplex at the end of the month. Then Customs etc. Probably see them for sale around the 10th of January.

    The 9.5x5 (14.75 oz) weighs only 2 ounces less than the 11" Simplex coil. The same size Nel Sharpshooter coil is 12.3 ounces

    Hoping for a Nel Snake size coil. Picture on Nel website shows a solid eliptical not an open coil as the Sharpshooter would be.
