    Tejon 8.5" widescan

    I was just on the Tesoro website and noticed an 8.5" widescan for the Tejon. It looks like it would be deeper than the 5.75 just because of its size. Has anyone ever tried this coil and can you give me any feedback?

    CW button

    Got out for a little while this afternoon and found a CW button-NY State Milita. Using the 705 and 6"DD. The ground all around read 10 to 16. I just can't believe it is that hot. No red clay but used to be a field about 30 yrs ago.

    reading of 10 or 11? I got some really good repeatable signals today but had a ferrous of 11 and all turned out to be junk. I'm running conductive and multi. Any comments on this?

    10.5 DD

    Think what you like-that 10.5 DD is a great coil! It does just as well if not better than my Etrac in my little coin garden. Just that I need to get some 5 lb weights and start working my arms to build up some extra strength!!

    Deep on-Deep off

    Disturbed ground

    It has been said many times that the Explorer series didn't do well in disturbed ground. Can anyone comment on the Etrac in these situations? How about a 3" layer of leaves or straw?

    I ordered this detector brand new and it came in today. Look at how the box is mounted about 10 degrees "off kilter". There is no adjustment as the bracket is riveted in this position. Also I read how good they are suppose to be in air test. I could get a good reading on a dime at only 8"...
