Post Beach Blizzard finds with my GT. Colonial Copper

I had these soaking in olive oil since the 14th. From what I can identify I think the copper is a King William 1600-1700's. I could be wrong but some King Williams have been found near this spot before. Not sure about the medal. It is pretty heavy for it's size so I think it was not a novelty...

sea hunter mkII 8" coil cover?

How come Garrett does not make a coil cover for the MKII 8 inch coil. By Jason

advice on cable strain prevention while hip mounting the GT.

I want to hip mount my GT. I will be using the GT hip mount bag. Does anyone have any pictures they can post of what accessories they use or techniques applied to prevent the cable and it's connector to the control box from being damaged by the cable being tugged. I know the GT manual says to...

Has Garrett improved the AT PRO headphone cord.

I noticed that some online pics show that the land based headphones have a longer single strand cord before the coiled cord section. Anyone know when this was implemented. Thanks HH Jason

Big shell ast the beach with my GT.

I have been hitting my local M.A/ N.H beaches for years with my Sovereign GT and I have never found machine gun shells like this before? Could they be from a Coast Guard training exercises? Kinda threw me off. Wonder if they are modern or old? Thanks HH Jason

    Any rumblings out of Texas?

So is this the year that the GTI 2500 will be laid to rest? I want Garrett to offer a new flagship machine. HH Jason

Now that MINELAB has kicked the Sovereign to the curb.

Who is hanging onto theirs? I AM KEEPING mine until a new version comes out or someone makes a multi frequency machine in an At pro package that does not cost close to 3k. It is kinda good in an odd way that the Sovereign is going the way the unicorn. #1 less people will get the chance to own...

how long before Minelab comes out with.

A scaled back version of the CTX. Kinda like a Safari to an E- Trac. Yes it should be waterproof. The market is in need of a mid line full featured waterproof multi frequency machine. HH Jason

    Gold yesterday with the GT.

It was in the high 40's yesterday and I was itching to get out. Spent about 4 hours on the beach hitting a reliable spot and got a 14k white gold men's band, and a broken 1974 class ring. Tons of deep clad and tabs as well that I really did not want to clean up for photo posting. The stuff is...

Two frequencies and waterproof to 10 feet.

That is what I want in a new Fisher machine. I don't care about what type of meter system they use weather it be F series style or a new style. I don't care what color it is ( please no flames on the side) lol. I just want something that handles the wet salt and finds deep silver inland in a...

Just for fun. A guessing game.

So do you think we will see a winter reveal of Garrett's new Top Of The Line machine? We all have heard that the 1500 is being taken off the market, and it's brothers and sisters are also a little long in the tooth { upgrade wise}. I still feel Garrett will bring back the Master Hunter name. I...

The GT is still pulling the goods out of the sand for me!

Last week I got out with Bernie K and found the silver heart pendant and the silver ring with the moons and stars. Last night however the targets where jumping out of the sand into my scoop. The larger ring is white gold and I have to get the ice checked out. The other ring is silver. Also got...

    still hitting the beach.

Got to keep on going and it will eventually accumulate. I love how my GT slices through the salt. HH Jason

Been doing good at the beach.

Usually me and my Sovereign GT prefer to search for colonial coins and relics. However we can not ignore the potential at the beaches in the Summer. The ring is 10k. The little heart/key shaped belly ring was 925 silver.I know that picture is not that great of quality but I kinda dig the red...

Just curios on how you feel about It. It works great for me. a great park coil. HH Jason

Tell me it is ok that I don't go detecting today.

I hate this feeling. Yesterday I went detecting and I told myself that today I am going to go again. Problem is that I just can not get motivated to go. I got all my gear together and I just can not follow through. Perhaps it is the dark clouds in the distance giving the threat of rain? It is...

I think Fisher is in a great position.

To make the next best thing. The new machine from M. looks cool. But my gut is telling me to see what F has in the chamber. I am in no rush to get a new machine but I am looking forward to see what they( Fisher) brings to the table. The light weight and good ergonomics of the F75 was light...
