    12" and 5.3 V-Nulled Coils (V3, DFX, MXT, M6)

I'm just getting too much $ wrapped up in this hobby..... Elcipse 5.3. Used once - like new. Includes cover (minor scratches on cover only) . $100 + shipping. Great coil for trashy areas. Super 12 Used once- like new. $150 = shipping. Great coil. I own a 10x12 with similar depth making it...

    V3 vs. F75

Marshall, sorry, I'm trying to understand your post to give reply. This is my point. The only way to know for absolute certain what is in the ground is to dig it. Let me give you a couple of examples. I've had............ Wheats that VDI at 54 (or so) and pinpoint with the 7.5 freq (red)...

    V3 vs. F75

Hmmm, what about the plastic thats clamped onto the main rod (the handle you hold while detecing)? I can grab the screen box and twist/flex it easily. You can't do that with whites. Nice to know the cuff is metal. It sure looks plastic - does it have some sort of coating on it? Just to be...

    Deep Silver, struck out...

I love CA. Sure, we got some weird people but we get to detect year round. :twodetecting:

    Added Depth

Notes from a fellow highly mineralized soil hunter...... Turn that bottle cap reject off completely. Deep coins break up and will be rejected. The hot rock setting - I'm thinking that is effecting you too? Deep coins in mineralized soil VDI really high on the V. Even deep copper pennies will...

    Christmas came early today.

How do you order that cover from england? I've never been able to find a retailer let alone one thats shows U.S. currency options.

    V3 vs. F75

Okay, heres my thoughts.... Please keep in mind that this is coming from a LONG time whites user - though I belive unbiased opinion. I like all brands or I wouldn't have bought the dang thing. Also, some of this is based on my observations and conversations with my friend who co-owns the F75...

    V3 vs. F75

Just dropping a note to let you know I haven't forgotten about you. For some reason I can't log in on my home computer. I'm replying now on my smart phone. I do have test results but its too much to type with just my thumbs. :surrender:

    F75 LTD Plowed field mode?

Anybody know what this mode does differently? I haven't read the whole manual yet but it really only says where to use it - not what the machine is doing in this mode.

    V3 vs. F75

I just bought an F75 LTD. Just got the fisher last night so I can't give a hunt comparison but I have friends who have them and they seem to do well with them. One nice thing about the fisher is it's lightning speed. It's almost too fast - A great choice if your hunting areas that are iron...

Anyone using the SEF 8x6 yet?

The 10x12 works perfectly without being "v nulled". Glad to hear they are making the smaller one now.

    Lets try that again!

We need better pics and details please!!!!! :clapping: Damn! :yikes:

Newby V3'r in Fountain Inn, SC - need help!

p.s. The stock D2 coil is notorious for tabs and bottle caps to sound great. Depending on your soil you may consider a concentric coil.

Newby V3'r in Fountain Inn, SC - need help!

I get tabs that VDI really high like that when they are deep. Where do you live? High mineralization? Best way to discriminate out those high ringing tabs is to see which line is longest in pinpoint. i.e. if green - dig. If blue or red consider leaving it. (warning, you may miss a coin or two...

    V3 or DFX decision

I think this question would be better answered if you told us your experience level with other machines, how often you hunt and what your prefered target is (gold jewelry, or deep coins).

    First Gold with V!

That was my guess, 20's- 30's lost in the 40's. I found yet another 14K ring yesterday. Much bigger this time. :clapping: 2nd gold ring with the V. Not bad considering I only dug two in 11 years with the XLT. I'll try to post pics later.

    First Gold with V!

That's amazing. Same exact ring I think. Details on your find please. If I'm seeing correctly your has much more writing stamped inside. Mine simply says 14K. Can you read what the rest says on yours?

    THEY HAD A VISION

Yep, lots of (I think more) e-tracs for sale on the forums also. People buy machines expecting more and sell quick while they can still get top dollar.
