*insert sarcasm* I just love hearing great customer service stories.

Who is getting deep (coins at 8 inches) and how are you doing it?

And sometimes that "masking" is simply soil conditions. The deeper stuff here rarely gives a nice clean tone and analyze is nearly useless. Use the audio. Get a good chirp showing good depth - dig it. You should also be walking very......no......make that extremely slow. Imagine your coil is...

Who is getting deep (coins at 8 inches) and how are you doing it?

I can't imagine why you'd only get 4" with this machine. I'm having no trouble getting 6" even in the coin or coin jewelry programs and Hi-pro will run deeper. Custom hot programs are running 9"+. Tell me, how deep could you run with previous machines?

Just got off the phone with Whites

First, thanks for calling whites and posting it up. I'm not having falsing issues but about your post - Are these adjustments they suggest be made in all programs or just Relic?

We need to start coming up up with some single frequency slammers.

Found a problem hunting deep coins running 22.5. It LOVES (enhances) pull tabs.

I hate to ask this question because it mite have been already answered

I think you'll have problems in club/large hunts with the D2 coil. All DD coild are sensitive to interferance. Buy a 950 for such detecting.

We need to start coming up up with some single frequency slammers.

Thats interesting because so far for me 2.5 is dominant for shallow keepers and 22.5 for deeper stuff. It will be interesting to hear if soil types play a big roll in determining the dominant frequency. My guess is it will which backs what i said above. Experiment with your home turf.

    More bracelets/necklaces?

Anybody else getting more bracelets/necklaces? In another post I mentioned I found my first bracelet in 10 years of detecting. (I never hunt for jewelry). Well yesterday I got another one! Thin silver hoops held together by silver beads. I could actually hear the individual beads as I ran up...

We need to start coming up up with some single frequency slammers.

I'd publish the settings here if I had written the program. My buddy wrote it and I'm unsure of the proper etiquette of posting it here. Is this stuff top secret? My guess would be no but I think it's better to ask him first. Another reason for not posting it is what works or is needed...

    Never ceases to amaze me

V-nickle is one of my favorite coins. For whatever reason I've only found a few in my 10+ years detecting. As far as places being hunted out, I've always thought of it like this. The search field produced by our loops is shaped like a cone, by the time it gets down the the deeper stuff we're...

We need to start coming up up with some single frequency slammers.

This thread needs to be topped. :bouncy: Some interesting observations.......(sorry if this has been written about before) So after getting my V3 a few days ago I went to my test garden. I went after a silver dime I had burried in the 10" to 11" range. My XLT can barely hear this dime and...

    1785 Vermont Copper

Living on the west coast finding such an old american coin is a pipe dream. There's plenty of seated and reals and the ever so rare bust coin but american coins like flowing hair or colonials are non existant. I'm envious. :surrender:

Agreed, it's not silver. Maybe I should have worded my post differently to say: 'It looks like silver but it's too heavy and rings at 19 so it's not. 19 would support it being white gold, but it's tarnished. I'm thinking it's pewter but have no idea how conductive pewter is (how it would come...

Ya, there's just SO MUCH to go through. Plus I'm easily distracted by the "Look what I found with my V3" threads. :yikes: I have been reading though. Went out to a turn of the century school last night that had it's yard bulldozed. Apparently my buddy cursed us as we pulled up out front and...

Hello Everyone, New member here. Looks like a great forum. :) I was hoping I might get some V3 tips from the guys who have had them for awhile and who focus on deep silver. I'm not new to detecting. I started 11 years ago with a XLT. The XLT is it is literally the only detector I have ever...
