Anyone have a good relic program for CW relics in VA?

Park 1 gives the most accurate VDI in my opinion. Recovery 4 or 5, 6 if you get in the nails. I have to do iron bias of 4 or the square nails sound too good. I dig anything from just below a nickel VDI and up. Notching doesn't have a place in relic hunting, most of the time in my opinion.

    New coil won't connect?

I recently got a new coil and headphones. I did have trouble pairing both. I tried several times and finally got them both paired. I eventually made sure everything was off, then back on and tried again. And if you aren't using your headphones you need to make sure your external speaker is on...

Deus II, 1862 naval fuse plug

I think the timing was set by punching one of those holes, so that the flame from the powder charge in the cannon could reach the powder in the fuse. There were fuses that had paper that was cut to different lengths to determine the timing.

Deus II, 1862 naval fuse plug

It's a fuse from a Union Dahlgren naval shell. I've attached a picture that shows how it was used. She'll in the image isn't mine.

    Naval fuse

Thank you. Yes, I believe that's what the holes are for.

Deus II, 1862 naval fuse plug

I got lucky this morning. I had dug a few shell fragments that gave high tones, but I kept at it. I was actually heading back to the truck because I was about worn-out. I got a deep high tone mixed with iron. I worked on this hole probably 45 minutes. Finally, at a measured 22 inches I hit a...

    Deus II 13x11 coil shaft

It is small, but it just boils down to I didn't do the research for myself. I know I've heard others call it a carbon fiber shaft and that's what I was expecting. I think it is a little stiffener than the standard rod.

Your right, doesn't look like carbon fiber at all.

    Deus II 13x11 coil shaft

I gave some bad information tonight on a live stream. Something was said about the Deus II 13x11 coils shipping with a carbon infused shaft. I said that they all weren't shipping with that shaft but that I received mine with the regular shaft. I was wrong. The shaft is carbon infused. It...

900 Park 2 is really deep, but useless for me

I agree about accuracy dropping off at depth. But in my soil Park 1 gives a more accurate VDI than Park 2 at those deeper depths. The audio that is produced depends on how your tone Bins are setup. So if you set your first tone bin upto around 9 on the 800 or around 19 on the 900 to eliminate...

    What is EQ800 Worth?

I sold one out of warranty with upgrades for 525. Sold one still under 1 year warranty with upgrades for 560. But with the extra coil you may get the 600.

900 Park 2 is really deep, but useless for me

I have always used Park 1 and really like it. But Park 2 is deeper in my opinion, by a good bit. I don't know about the old 6 inch working on the 900, but I feel confident it will. All I'm saying is that I'm getting much better performance with the 6 inch coil that came with the 900 on the...

900 Park 2 is really deep, but useless for me

I sold the 6 inch coil that I bought for the 800 within a week of receiving it a few years ago. I didn't see any advantage, or very little advantage in separation test. But a very noticeable loss of depth. Thank you for confirming what I said about Park 2. I think one reason Minelab doesn't do...

900 Park 2 is really deep, but useless for me

I don't know what you would call it. And they may not be able to do anything about it. But I do know I have been told in the past that the problem didn't exist. That was using the 800. It's the same with the 900. Park I, gives a much more realistic VDI on deep targets than Park 2. But Park...

900 Park 2 is really deep, but useless for me

I hope Minelab does something about this but I doubt they will. It was the same way on the 800 and they never did anything about it. What am I talking about? The IDs on deeper targets in Park 2. Example: The 900 in Park I, will detect the 15 inch three ringer in my test garden. But just...
