    Decided on the Equinox 900

I did tighten the thumb screws. I will try tightening them more tonight, but I thought I had the cams pretty tight. I hope it doesn't happen but I can imagine someone breaking those cams trying to get them tight enough that it doesn't twist.

    Decided on the Equinox 900

I got mine yesterday. Took 4 hours to change. I did a quick run through my test garden, I think it may be deeper than the 800 by a little. It will definitely give a two way signal with good ID on my 10 and a half inch dime. I'm pretty sure the 800 will only hit it one way. I will do some testing...

All I know is that there are 2 more available than there was. I canceled 2 orders. Got a 900 coming this week.

Can anyone identify this Deus II find ?

I've had several people confirm it's a sword guard, just haven't found the exact match.

Can anyone identify this Deus II find ?

I was thinking the same thing, but I've been told by several people it's a sword guard. Just haven't gotten an exact match yet.

Analysis of a one way signal?

The 90 degree turn, it causes a lot of really nice targets to be left in the ground. Deep coins, it depends on your ground what deep is. But in my area it's 10" or better. Coins on edge. Targets in iron. These are some reasons that a target may only give a good signal in...

My first Fall field hunt of the year

I found the main house site on this permission. This site isn't loaded with finds but I've found some that I am very happy with.

Can anyone identify this Deus II find ?

I found this at a new permission yesterday. The best I can tell from the finds at this site it's early 1800s, the site that is. I think it is a sword or knife guard, but can't find a match online. Can anyone identify it?

    New Coiltek 10X5

I never hunted with it but I do have one. I can tell you it is a deep coil, it hits my 10 in. Coins in my test garden. Not as strong as the 11 in. But good enough.

    Excited about new Equinox

I don't know about safe to say, I hope so. But I agree with the rest of your post 100%. I really wish Minelab would make things right with 600 and 800 owners.

My first Fall field hunt of the year

Thanks, I pretty much just use Deep HC modified. I just brought that up because even though this was my first field hunt this fall I have been doing a lot of hunting in the woods over the last 2 months. I've dug several minie balls as deep as 13" and ones that were mishapened that didn't sound...

My first Fall field hunt of the year

I have the same concerns. But in the videos I've seen most people say it's better. It has a raised arm cuff and the handle is at a different angle. Of course the big thing will be the performance.

My first Fall field hunt of the year

Thanks. I was using the Deus II with the 11in coil. I just can't use the Equinox after the Deus II. Mainly because of the ergonomics. I have a Manticore on order, hopefully it will swing better than the Equinox.

He must be lying I guess?

It's a real head scratcher that's for sure. But it's really not funny, Most that actually use their Equinox machines Underwater for an extended period of time will be in his shoes someday.

My first Fall field hunt of the year

I tried a new permission yesterday. The farm is about 100 acres and I don't think I've found the main house site yet, I hope not. I was a little disappointed with finding so little but the walking half made it a good day. Something I've noticed a lot lately, on deeper or misshapen nonferrous...

He must be lying I guess?

Yes, it was a dead machine because is out of warranty and had already been replaced several times for flooding. But how can that be? We all know the flooding issue is a hoax? Right? According to some.
