In dire need for some answers

I have had the Simplex + 13 months. Mine is setup on 2.78 and I never saw the need to use 2.77. The difference according to the company is the 2.77 will ID targets deeper but not as stable on numbers as 2.78. The 2.78 will Id more steady but not as deep 2.77. The machines on sound off targets...

New Legend Coils , weight and performance Beta v1.10

These weights and size looked to be real difference makers. I preordered the LG 24 earlier this evening. HH

    T2+ vs F75+ on depth

I have never owned the Fisher 75+, I do own the T2+, and it is deep in the boost mode. If I bought the 75+ it would be for other features, such as notching, saving setting ect. The T2+ is simple and very deep in the all metal mode also. I doubt there is much difference between the two.

    New Teknetics 12 inch coil

I have not tried it, but if I needed a 12 inch coil, I would try it. I watched it on Finding Alabama and it does look promising.

    What frequencies have you ran

I use 20 kz alot in high EMI areas and especially around metal playground equipment using 60 tones to find targets close to metal poles. The SMF frequencies wrap too much around the iron for me to ID targets against metal poles.

Version 1.08 has some strange issues......

I saw this earlier, so I tried to duplicate in my machine, but couldn't. I have loaded v108 before I tried this. This is odd for sure. HH

    Equinox 600

Looks like you have a good tandem going there! I am using the T2+ with 5x10 teamed with a Legend 6 inch DVD for inland jewelry hunting along with a simplex with sp24 coil. The larger 11inch coils don't get much use. I'm waiting for a new 5x9 or 8.5 coil for the legend. Good luck and HH!

    Settings help

Virginia, It has been awhile since I have used the patriot/F70, but this machine has a boost in de at 3or 4disc and another at 21,22disc. This is not in the manual as recall, bit they are there. This might help if depth is a issue. HH

    Legend 9 inch coil?

I hope we get a medium sized coil soon.I do believe they are working on one.

Tell me your thoughts on the Legend 6" coil...

I like the 6 inch coil and use it pretty much exclusively in places where it works, curbs, fence line, against structures, ect. The stock is OK, but too heavy for my needs in sports fields, wide open parks ect. The Vanquish 12 in takes care of these places, simply because of weight. I am 68...

    Got a Simplex a few weeks ago….

Sorry high the post button. I run the 2.78 upgrade. Using the wireless head phones set on 1 block, ground balance, Park 2 mode, iron 1 block, sensitivity full most the time, and the sp 24 coil. Then go down 2 blocks if need be on sensitivity. If that doesn't work, notch the first 2 blocks of...

    Very pleased with my g2+

Sorry about the quote mishap. I agree with you on the sharp shooter, I like the stock better for open fields, parks, open sport areas, plus it is lighter. I ordered a T2+ and a 5x10 coil to fit my other needs
