I don't know if you guys have ever seen his work

But you should. He is an artist that uses chalk on sidewalks and streets to make these unbelievable drawings. I can't imagine the amount of work to get the 3 dimensional affect just right. As you can see tourists love to use them for photos. Hard to believe what you are looking at is flat ground!

    Another happy ending!

I just read in the paper where a local guy from here in NJ was down in South Carolina last week. He went into an AA meeting and pulled out a .25 cal. (ha-ha) pistol and demanded every ones valuables. A member pulled out his legal to carry pistol and shot him dead! I guess the scum was used to...

    A few from Saturday

I took a trip to an old local woods. The 1700's shoe buckle is in nice shape! I don't know what the other piece is. Thin stamped metal, measures 2 inches across with a small holed tang coming off each side piece at a 90 degree angle. Says "Young America" on the front. Any ideas?

OK what's the chances of this?!

Today I was out for a bit. As I was digging a hole I saw that familiar "feet in my side vision" we have all encountered. I looked up to see a man, probably in his 60's say "any luck?" I told him not as of yet. He said he was heading over to the nearby park. He introduced himself and after...

    Back to an old school

The school was built back around 1900 and I have been there countless times with my Explorer, I'm sure it has been hunted by many besides me. The Etrac was able to sniff these out anyway along with as many pennies as I chose to dig dating from 1913 all the up.

    Grizzley Bear

This bear was apparantly hit by a truck on Lolo pass between ID and MT. I can't believe the size of those claws! You're right Vern, you don't want to make one of these guys angry!

A find BIGGER than all of ours put together!

The story here comes from Estonia. This is a Soviet T34 tank that was captured by the Germans, hence the German markings. The tank was believed to have been driven into the lake by the retreating Germans in 1944 during fierce fighting. A young boy had seen bubbles and some oil for a few months...

    Shhhhhhh....Quiet! You hear that?

It's the sound of no one complaining about the Etac like they did when it first came out. All we had to do is listen and learn what she was trying to tell us. Congatulations to all of us who have been patient and successful with this powerful machine!

Figures just out 533,000 jobs lost in November!

They predicted 450 to 500K. Actual number is bad news. We are definately in for some tough times in 2009, those of which aren't already suffering that is.
