    Optional arm cuff.

    I just compared the difference between a metal cuff and the OEM cuff. metal. 8.61 oz OEM. 4.07 ————— difference 4.54 oz more. That actually helps in offsetting the coil as a counterbalance.

    The nox is probably just more sensitive and processing a lot more with the multi frequency and it has to compare all that info. that is why the Nox is finding more.

    Cheap Blue painters tape Works great. Mine is always getting covered with magnet mineral material from the ground and sand on the beach. funny thing is my ground balance is actually low in my area, haven’t figured that out yet. Doug

    Thanks I think it will be fine. I couldn’t find the one you mentioned and I seen it at another site for $65+ shipping and I thought that is way to much. Heck I actually could have made my own and it would have kook‘ed shroom quality i didn’t want to take that much time. Doug

    Minutes ago I just receved mine in the mail from eBay. its a little heaver than the stock OEM but that’s good because it will act as a counterweight to the coil and the quality looks good With a powder coat. Doug

    Is there other stronger Minelab arm cuffs that will fit on the Equinox. I think I see somewhere (can’t find) that the Xterra one will fit on the Nox. I‘ve seen metal one but just looking around before I do anything. Doug

    Never broke mine but I put the stablizer on just for safety. I‘ve been detect for over 45 years and have never broke an ear on any of my detectors And they don’t break just sitting their so if broken it’s not the detector that did something wrong.     Minelab making EQX coil ears thicker ??

    There are slide over available. I have a set I ordered from a guy in Russia but they are shipped from Texas. they slide over the existing ones and support the ears from th out side of them. no matter if you have them in either case when you tighten the nut the ears will bend and too tight...
