This is a hollow silver plate stud found in the sand with the MXT. i had to chase it around with the bullseye and at one time it was stuck on it. just to show how sensitive the machine is.

    How small???

A silver initial heart-- flat and super thin. I thought it was a sequin from a garment. the picture is blurry and the color is off, but thats a US Lincoln penny beside it. It's way thinner than the penny. It has an initial on each side and says sterling on one too. it has a little weight to it...

VDI of coins vs soil conditions vs disc

a loaded question-- in my park zinc lincolns ring up as "screwcap" a lot- but not always. the dirt changes from clay mix to sand to powder soft black to wood chip lots. zincs ring up a lot of different numbers. now does the amount of disc and the soil condition have a great effect on the VDI...

    a forgiving unit

My new to me MXT is such a forgiving unit. downeaster preached at me several years to get one. my old beep and digs did work just fine, when i did not accidentially bump a knob or catch it on a headphone cord and then realize i was hunting set up wrong. the MXT is so forgiving it really does...

    FIRST MXT HUNT

I took my MXT to local parks that i have hunted for years. loads of modern trash. the DD 6x10 was a little tricky to pinpoint. i was scratching my head in the chiplot when i kept getting zinc signal and squeezing the trigger- it pinpointed three places at 1 inch down within a couple inches-- 3...
