Anyone know when detailed V-3 book might come out?

The nice thing about a book is that the info is organized and written by one person which makes consolidating and forming relationships within your mind easier than piecing together disparate info from different authors.

Anyone know when detailed V-3 book might come out?

A lot of the authors wait a while to see if a machine will be popular, or not, before spending time on an in-depth treatise on the machine. It could be soon, but I wouldn't bet on it. Beep

    Hapy Ne Yar y'all

Just kidding. I do wish that all of your hunts in '010 are imbued with success and that we count every day as a gift. Beep

My last hunt of the year's finds, and some new things learned about coils.

I've got the 5.3 as well (although I had to send it back since it failed the null tests). I sold my 9.5 with the DFX, although I tested it first and it failed spectacularly. Nice info...thanks Neil!

    Settings/Pattern spreadsheet

Hi folks, Below is the intro comment in the file (finally got it finished)... http://www.thebeepgoeson.com/display.asp?page=E-Trac_Settings ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Originally, this file started as an experiment in recreating an E-TRAC pattern in an Excel spreadsheet. It grew from there into what...

    color curved line frequencies

...can't you change it to "Custom" theme after changing the colors in Setup theme?

    Program spreadsheet

Hi-Pro and MM both have custom color schemes. You would assume that the colors the factory folks chose were meant to complement eacother according to the basic color theme. Beep

    Program spreadsheet

Hi - Basically, 2.0 and 2.1 include Configuration, custom settings, colors, and additional formatting whereas 1.0 only has the main settings in a simpler format. You can still get version 1.0 ... Spectra_V3_Programs_v_1_0.xlsx HH! Beep

How long till you really started connecting w/ your V3

I haven't had mine for very long. Minimal hours. The 5 or so hunts I've had with it has given me a good, rather than a bad or uncertain, outlook for the v. It is completely familiar, and at the same time, completely unfamiliar to a DFX user. I'm not sure how I would react to the v if I had...

    Program spreadsheet

Hi coach - Hmmmm...not sure. Restoring a library program should overwrite everything except the Global Settings. Unless, you saved your modified factory programs and it is now using those versions as the default version (see bolded text below). If you changed your Setup settings to include...

    Confnused? Can you help?

I believe the coin mode accepts +15 to +25 and +51 to +94. The lower range is for nickels, which is also where a lot of pulltabs are too. The upper range would accept a half dollar but, in your case, it was just a tricky piece of iron. So, nothin' wrong...you can modify your discrimination...
