Hit a new spot today. It looked good on paper was had been overburdened with 4" of soil. Still ok. Found a ton of claddy coin spills (12 Rosie's in 1 hole) so I paid gas lol. Ended up digging a lot of junk but ground my first 1912 nickel ( liberty?) and my oldest Indian. A sexy 1889. Indian on...

Back to the nail yard. Barber again!

I had a couple of hours this morning so I went back to the nail yard. If it didn't spit some oldies at me now and then I would never go there again. It's so obnoxiously FULL OF IRON!! I had the 6" on still, so I went for a walk in the spider webs. Not fun, and dug a pile of old nails again. Got...

Final 2 silvers of the epic 10 day hunt

Just got back from a 10 day road trip with my buddy JDogg from WA. We probably covered 1200 miles and found a stack of silver and large cents. We found some cool 1800s relics and had a blast. Yesterday I had to get him to the airport so we only had a short time to hunt. We went back to the nail...

Still playing on the seated field. Silvers!

Went to the seated field for a couple of hours a couple of days ago and again today for a couple. I have a good buddy coming all across America to hunt with me, so I have left him half the show. I re hunted the part I hunted before and only picked up 2 wheats I missed. I was basically aiming to...

New video. CTX in iron and on edge coins

This is a two hour hunt in the rain and cold wind last week. There is a coin in heavy iron, one half on edge and an 1880s dime that was vertical in the hole. This was a great hunt in awful conditions. Enjoy http://youtu.be/PZ-nN8e_R7w

Epic silver hunt in 2 hours !!

I went out today for a 2 hour hunt to the seated field. This thing has been giving up a lot of oldies. I shot the entire thing for a YouTube video. Got a 1968 silver dime Victoria dime (pre 1901) And a 1911 quarter. What a morning!!

    1872? Canadian FISHSCALE 5 cent

Went out to the seated field for an hour this morning to clear my head. Dug some clad pennies and a 20s wheat. I finished my grid and was walking a line to my next area when I got a yelp signal. It was kinda solid but a bit wobbly. Down 3-4". My oldest FISHSCALE !! It looks like 1872. I...

Went out today for a short hunt before work to the seated field. I was digging a lot of iffy signals, but these 2 rang in sweet. Great way start the week!!

    Seated silver half dime!!! 1853!!!

Went out today for a short hunt to a field I love hunting. Changed my approach and have slowed down. It paid off huge today. I found a really nice 1853 seated half dime down about 6". It's the one with arrows. Haven't cleaned it up at all but I can read "liberty" through a loupe. Ill clean...

    Barbers from the nail yard

I've been hunting a place I call the nail yard. I've been over it once so far with the regular coil and am going to go back and hit it again with the 6". This place is so stuffed full of iron that you can dig a hole anywhere, and get 2 or 3 nails or spikes. It's awful. I am so impressed with...
