    It's gonna take some doin but I bet they are working on something even hotter than the V3i.......... They have really knocked it out of the park so far with the V3i and now with the TRX pin pointer.

    If i run my V3i in single frequency

    I have checked all my MXT coils on my V3i. They are older coils, none V rated and they all work fine, even up to the 15 RX test. 4x6, 6x10, and the 950. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised after I tested them all. This was also in 3 freq.

    I think most people run the V too hot.... I usually run 55 DS, 50 AM, and 5 pre amp. RXG. Very stable and plenty deep. Also I am in Oregon on the coast where mineralization is a problem.

    Start with moderate gain and sensitivity and slowly work your way higher till you begin to notice instability then back it off a little......
