    Help with a good shovel

The Lesche is what I use to get the goodies out of the hole.. It is too short for getting off my knees (old and bad knees)

    Help with a good shovel

I use the short Lil-Digger and it is great. Just the right length that I can use it as a crutch when getting up off the ground after digging the good stuff out of the hole.

XP Deus 2 in Tot Lots

Playgrounds, schoolyards, anyplace where young children play. Usually populated with a lot of metal and plastic playground toys. German Kindergartens I believe.

Xy screen when targets too deep?

I use of the X/Y screeen when cherry picking tot lots. Everything is shallow and the X/Y allows me to detect close to the metal toys and still manage to pick out a lot of the coins.

Found these at my 1930s house. Anyone know what some of these things are? (Specifically the ring looking things)

The Mason Jar Lid is zinc, the porcelain piece as stated is the liner for the lid. Newer jars use brass based rings with thin lids that have the rubber seal made into the perimeter of the lid. My wife cans and has some of the older zinc ones from her grandmother with the blue/green jars they...

    storage

Long term storage of electronics in extreme cold temperatures is not good for them. The components get brittle and weak. Condensation will cause corrosion and damage circuit boards. A good bit of info: https://electronicshacks.com/can-electronics-get-too-cold/ .

    Change coil charging clamp

Retired Army; We thrive on acronyms... PIA=Pain In A--... Targits - Is the item on Doodads the one made in Ukraine? If it is I believe others have had a hard time getting one or getting contact with the maker! If you do get one Jeff let us know. I would like to see something like this that could...

    Change coil charging clamp

That is a solution but then it is a PIA when you have the Deus wired up for water hunting.

    My take on the Deus1.

I have had both the D1 and now the D2. Like them both but I believe the D2 excels due to the waterproofing as well as the multi-frequency. It would have been a real feat if the D2 was actually a combination of the two. One machine that could be used with all of the D1 coils and settings.. I have...

Not much at the Lake Michigan beaches, everyone here pays with smartphones and don't wear jewelry.

Can't even go thru a Car Wash around here using cash! They all want your Credit Card Information so they can sell that to the advertisers. BS as I always prefer cash and don't like to us cards.

Smartphones and swimmers that don't want tan lines. Lake Michigan beaches ran real lean this past summer. Of course less tan lines also mean smaller suits.o_O

    onxmaps.com

They will no longer be supporting handheld GPS's per their website. I had purchased one of their sd cards for the state to use with my Garmin 850, it expired after a year. I could have renewed it but they only did so if you signed up for auto renew using a credit or bank card on line.. I do not...

    How to mount or carry

After leaving two pinpointers someplace in the woods/sand I bought a belt/pin mountable retractable tether! Hangs inside the Finds Pouch (so it doesn't beat against everything until I need it). Always handy when needed, Never again worrying about losing it.

Cost to replace coil battery on a 2018 Deus 9" coil

I had the batteries in my Deus 1 replace late 2020, all three batteries cost me about $75 (I think). Sent the whole thing to Detector Electronics (1-508-460-6244). This was after using the Deus 1 for 3 years. I spend a lot of time detecting!

    Coil charging clip

Thank you for the clairification; I have a real problem getting the clip over my cover, clip will not stay on at all without the cover.. Did line the top of the coil with bright reflective tape so I can see it better in the water
