    In 2014 it was still in their Catalog. So may be in 2015? That catalog (2015) I'm missing, in the cat 2016 the MXT wasn't available anymore. Carl-NC from Geotech will know for sure.

    I would stick with the V3i, Odanscoils. With this incredible detector you have ALL the goodies in the palm of your hand. The target analysis tools are excellent and still unmatched. Sorry, wood butcher. I don't want to hijack your thread.

    @#1Leatherneck - THAT saying is a lot to much. There are other nice guys and gals here that will have a lot more knowledge i.e. Nancy & Larry (IL) and Carl-NC. Larry tested the V3 as I know and Carl was the leading engeneer for the Spectra series. AND I think they have a lot more insight.

    Hello Jim. If you have a chance to swap coils I'd try that. May be the coil became faulty over time. If there is a MD club close by give it a try, too. Most people are nice and helpful. Good Luck 🍀
