    Icons one or two ?

Mathematically I think it is the left icon that is more likely than the right one but it is just a programed calculation of the target, it could be either or neither. I have Icons turned off because it really doesn't matter to me what the Icon is.

    Todays hunt

I saw some dirt being moved around here in town and it was just begging to be hunted  9 wheats, the oldest is a 1909..... no S or VDB and a 64 quarter made it worth the trip.

    Rest in Peace

General succumbed to cancer this morning. He seldom missed a club hunt and was often said to be our unofficial mascot. He made many friends with club members and I thought those hearts he touched would want to know.

settings for loonies and twoonies on spectra V31???

What can't you accept all VDI's and wave the targets you want to find over the coil. Accept those VDI's and even name them if you want and reject the rest. I'm sure someone has a Canadian program already made but it sure wouldn't take you long to do it yourself.

    V3i settings library

You would think that would be true but often someone else's best setting for their ground and hunting style would be completely wrong for you. You would be far better off to start with a factory program like Hi-Pro and tweak it to your ground and preferences.

    White's ProStar Headphones

I won these but I already use the SunRay Golds. They need a good home and appreciated for what they are..... VERY good headphones. NIB, $90 shipped in CONUS. Paypal, check or USPS money order fine.

Vx3 peel & stick display decal

Yes, same display module for both detectors.

    V3i With a SunRay Probe ???

I replaced my DX-1 with the TRX also just because of the weight factor.

What happened to the TM Pro , I was wanting to know about it.

Track Lock is not (printed) in the owners manual. It is an amendment page inserted into the manual explaining Silent Search/Threshold and Track Lock. You turn Tracking On or Off by pressing the Tracking button.

    Little brass hammer

I found this brass hammer but not sure what it was designed to be used for. It is obvious it has done a lot of pounding before being lost and it is 5 inches long. I just had a thought while typing this...... might it have been used for leather tooling?

Hunting season is now open for the year :clapping:

It was so nice today we thought we would give it a try and I was surprised the ground was pretty much thawed in the sunshine areas and even in the shade, the top 4 inches are thawed. We didn't get much hunting in but did find a few goodies. I found a neat little hammer and not sure what it...

TreasurePro vs all others in it's class

Great analysis Gene, I share the same opinions of the T Pro, I was pretty impressed with it and like the display too. I have to give it a

    RD delay

50 will work well in trashy ground but I run it at 100-120 field hunting, I like the more rounded, fuller sound of a target with the slower recovery speed. Recovery speed is not suppose to effect the depth but I seem to get deeper targets with slower recovery and it also helps me hear the...

    First outing with the V3i & ???

Being a used machine, I would call the factory and they will guide you through a master reset bringing everything back to factory settings. It is hard telling what someone else might have done to the programs.

    Sensitivity

Exactly right...... RX gain is the first amplifier in the receiver circuit and amplifies everything the coil receives including EMI, iron halos, minerals and other unwanted signals. You are far better off to reduce the RX gain and increase Discrimination Sensitivity. I never go over RX 10 and...

Coil Test Bad on RX 15 but ???

Sorry, my notes were old before White's started making the other coils V compatible. As I stated, "initially" the test was for the V rated D2 and happy to hear it works on all V coils now. That was cute, Fox asked you to set me straight.

Coil Test Bad on RX 15 but ???

The integrity test was initially for the 10" DD but White's backed away from depending on that test, too many coils that "failed" at high gain, tested fine in the lab and it is also common for smaller coils to overload at high gain. Your 6X10 may very well be defective but I wouldn't worry...

Coil Test Bad on RX 15 but ???

You might have your settings too high for conditions or for the ground. I would call the factory before sending anything back. Try to lower your gain and see if overload goes away. You may also have other settings too high as well. Testing at Gain 15 is not a very reliable way to test a coil.

    Coil Question

6.59 KHz coils are for the XLT and some older detectors. Stick to the coils tuned for the V series.

A good find that could have been left behind.::surprised:

Congratulations Greg, a good lesson to all. I too dig all deep targets that repeat no matter how crappy they might sound.
