    Richard I've never seen a 1266x with the battery compartment in the control box. It's always been underneath the arm rest. Can you post more pictures of the detector controls and of the detector assembled?

    I have for sale my well cared for XP Deus 1 with 9" HF coil and 11" LF coil WS5 headphones and remote control and Andy's XP Deus Book. Also comes with box and charging cables. I have a receipt of purchase for it also it's less than a year old.

    Well I'm going to put it this way I don't feel like I am missing anything that the 11" would have gotten. But in my Georgia red clay the sinkage rate isn't to bad. They both pick up small targets quiet well.

    Mainly what I have experienced is separation improvement and less ground coverage using the 6" coil over the 11". The 6" goes extremely deep for its size. In clean ground I use the 11" in iron infested sites I use the 6". Another benefit of the 6" over the 11 " is the weight.

    I have finally found the one and only detector for myself and the Legend is it. I'm going to be selling my Deus 1 and Minelab Vanquish 540 pro pack off. I don't see any need in keeping them in the closet. Don't get me wrong those 2 detectors are awesome machines but the Legend is finding stuff...
