    Well got back yesterday. 9 hrs door to door. Thankfully the hurricane that started in florida and moved up almost to the ohio valley really didn't have much effect on our weather except cloud cover. Conditions were a thousand times better than last yrs trip. Anyway here the run-down... Detected...

    Couldn't have put it any better !! I knew my ol'e explorer II so good it was an extension of my hand.. sorry to say as old age settled in the weight just got the better of me. Now its the nox 600 if and when i get to play..

    I had one, was good but not great.. Also had a high tone golden umax which was very good.... like a dumb azz , sold that one too.

    I've had some really good beep and dig units over the past 30+ yrs...ie. fisher x1236, whites coinmaster III ( small black box ) but the best I think was the tesoro silver saber umax with the troy s-9 coil attached to it.. That combo is probably scarcer then hens teeth today. DAMM, sure wish...

    Well odans maybe you'll get that wish. This new vortex maybe incorporates alot of the same features that the v3i had and maybe pushes the envelope a bit further.. I can't see a company ( any company ) bringing something new to the market that will just be mediocre at best. Just guessing a lot...

    you bought the xterra pro for water hunting ? are you reluctant to dunk the 800 for fear of leaking ? I too have not dunked mine. I bought the tony eisenhower water proof headphones to use with it. Supposedly the later run units for the 600/800 had addressed the leak problem... hmmm not...
