    Just bought a Quattro

    Hi guys, i got a Quattro, about 2 Mos. ago, I used it a time or two, but it is so hot here inKentucky it might melt. I seen some reviues that it can go 18" deep in clean soil. I don't want to dig that deep any way.

    Whites TRX pinpointer

    Me to vito, I have a Garrrett, but it is for back up to my TRX, I like that you can use 9V or AA baterys, I have AA for my detector and always have extra. That way if the 9V gose down i can put in AA and keep going. Love the TRX.

    You guys are , got the 8" coil, realy 7.5" and heavy. I though it would make my Quantro lighter. Well i will use my swingie-thing and start looking for a lighter coil. Why did Minelab make coils so heavy? The detector gose deep and doae good with the 10" coil, will see with the 7.5" coil...

    Thanks 427, I got anouther 8" coming tomarrow, if i get it. I will see if it dose ok, if not i will try something else. I was thinking if the coil wire didn't go through the rod, i would run it on the out side. I don't care much for it being inside. flintstone

    Hunted at a old Boy Scout camp today

    I was in Boy Scouts back in the late 50s' and early 60s' in Ohio and went to see if i could detect it last year, and the care taker said he was detecting it and i was not aloud. It is closed most of the time, glad you got a good care taker.

It is like yellow looking, i still can see the VDI's and everything on the screen, i was just thinkback light but could be screen. Can that be replaced?     I have a nice XLT, but the screen is orange looking. I think the back light is week or something, you still can see all the VDI's and works good. I think i will sell it and get me a coil for my MXT.

    Thanks guys, I got the Quattro detector and it came with the 10" coil. Works very well, but some was saying a smaller coil dose better. I got a 8" minelab coil off a web site, but it got sent to someone else, now i am trying to get my money back. Mark I live in Kentucky, did live in Columbus...
