Well I got a camcorder for Christmas so I though since it's raining I may as well have a go at making a video, this quality of this video is very poor but you will be able to see me sweeping my GT with Joey coil over a piece of iron, the iron is on Styrofoam to keep it up from the floor, you will...

Joey finds it's first good find

Got this coin yesterday at my best site,it's a Gunmoney shilling dated November 1689,it was made during a siege in Ireland by melting down brass cannons as no silver or gold was available to pay the troops. The joey and GT combo got this one at about 8-9 inches,it seems from responses on the...

First week with Joey on the GT

I've been out 3 times this week with my new coiltek Joey on the GT,So far I've noticed it it has very good depth, may be more sensitive to tiny objects than stock(lots of small bits of foil dug),pinpointing is an absolute dream, much less falsing on iron than the stock and is VERY MUCH less...

Explorer or Sov GT,which is deeper?

I would like to know from any users who have used both the GT and the Explorer 2 or SE which they consider better,I have read posts from some extremely experienced users who prefer the GT over the Explorer as the signals are clearer,is the Explorer deeper than the GT and how do they compare on...

    The GT gets another hammered

Found on ancient pasture at about 7 inches, the GT gave a very clear signal in disc,it really does so well on my old fields. Anyway here is the coin,it's a Henry VIII half groat dated around 1530,the condition is superb for the year!

    A deep penknife

I got this at 15 inches, one of my deepest ever artefacts! The sides are bone and the ends are lead, quite old but I'm not sure of the date,I love finds like this.I had the sensitivity at 9 o clock position,I checked it in auto before I dug,no signal at all.

    The GT is sensitive !

I found this on pasture, about 7 inches down,it only 14mm in diameter and wafer thin,it's a King John half penny dated about 1207. I'm loving the GT so far!

Auto or manual sensitivity in high trash?

Well after a month with the GT I can say it is far better than the Quattro I ran for two years, depth is fantatstic,I constantly dig coins in the 10-12+ inch range, pinpointing is spot on and that's a big change from the Quattro!,the Gt also finds smaller targets and seems a lot hotter on low...
