    Bonehead mistakes...........

I left my $39 Whits digmaster on a park bench. Two weeks I remembered I did that it was 50 miles away. I now engrave my name and phone number on all my tools and inside of my pinpointer that comes out when changing the battery. Doug

IMO they screwed up on the Angle. This is my solution. i don‘t hold mine like everyone else. i hold mine like a spinning fishing reel. My little finger is placed below the shaft. I do not grab the handle hard. I let it kinds float I. My hand. it take some time to get use to it. Training. I’ve...

    First Snow..!

👍 it’s just nice when we know where people are from and talking about. I’m expecting soon for my winter to start in a few week south west lower Michigan close to Lk Michigan. That means 6 months of hibernation. I envy you people that can detect all year. Doug

What is the purpose/benefit of the WM 08 Wireless Audio Module

I never use headphones for safety reasons. I keep my WMO8 in my front pocket. I use the in the ear wired ear buds from amazo. I clip the wire to my shirt neck and run it inside my shirt to my front pocket. if one pops out of my ear I don’t loose it. Never gets tangled in brush. I actually...

Stirring the pot.. 600 or 800..!!

600 is a very good Detector. at time I don’t know which detector I’m using. if you are not going for gold witch I don’t. I got the 600 for water and now at times I set each detector with different coils and just switch detectors lol. I like them both and especially the WM08 that comes with the...

Stirring the pot.. 600 or 800..!!

Ok. I have the 800 for a year and then bought the 600. At times I have to look down to see what detector I’m using. I got the 600 for in the water at the beach because I don’t like using the $$$ 800 in the water. Both are excellent detectors. And if (if) you actually know what you are doing...

    Notching out numbers.

I got a solid 10 on a 18k gold ring. I never dig 10’s but you can bet I will now. If any tone is solid dig it.

    6 inch coil

When you are using the 6” remember it’s for trashy and tight areas not a corn field. S when I use mine I keep in mind on what type of detecting I am doing. I usual turn my sensivity way down to around 10 so my signal doesn't splatter and get better separation. But this is just my opinion with no...

Are Washed Out areas Worth Detecting..!

Are the building or places they stayed still standing. sounds like a great place. Remember they probably stashes stuff near where they stayed so think out of the box and look in areas away but not close to where they stayed. also open flat areas where they could play sports in their spare time...

Not bad for a hunted out ball park

Since I have learned my 800 I have came to the conclusion not to follow anyone that has an Equinox 600 or 800. No site is ever hunted out. with every detector out there you can miss a target by an inch and also by the angle the coil passes over the target. we nor our detectors are perfect. Doug.

Any way to keep mineralized sand from getting inside 15"coil on nox?

After removing the skid cover and filling all the open holes on my 11” coil with clear silicon and let dry and reinstalled my cover it is working fine and my filling with sand is gone. I would do it again. sand use to pour out of mine and now no sand. Doug

Any way to keep mineralized sand from getting inside 15"coil on nox?

Here on Lk Michigan the sand is so fine it fills my coil. I removed the cover and filled the cavities with clear silicone and now very little sand gets in their. Everything works fine. Doug

    Changing coils?

Each of my coils have their own shafts, so much easier and faster that way. when changing coils the detector will shut down automatically. Doug

    Has anyone ever c

Well I finely got around to doing it.i filled both my 11” coils (6” not needed no holes to fill. After filling all the cavities t is no place fot the sand to collect and it looks like I will not have to pull the covers off to empty them except may once or twice a year. I’m very happy with the...

    Has anyone ever c

That’s what I’ve been thinking. I know it won’t affect the operation. Doing that I would hardly have to empt the sand out because their would be berry little sand at all in their. Thank You. Doug

    Has anyone ever c

If I fill the cavity then their will be very little that gets in. The sand I have here on Lk Michigan is very fine sand and when I detect the sand it pours out of the coil. The sand is so fine that 4x4 can get stuck in it very easily. It’s not like ocean sand that is course. Doug

    Has anyone ever c

I’m not concerned about sand gets in their but just was thinking about limiting the amount that gets in their. I know minelab wanted to keep the weight down but those big cavities get filled with sand and then when they get wet it gets heavier. I think I’m gonna fill mine with silicone that can...
