    Equinox 600 manual

    I had mine downloaded. I was lucky the person that did mine had a printer capable if print on both sides of a sheet. So I was able to put it in protective sleeves and into a binder. So it’s in my my back seat when I go. sitting in a park in a chair reading it is relaxing.

    A 5x10 olipic DD would be better because you could cover tight spots and also cover more area faster. i had one on my Xterra 70 and I really likes it. Donut/Doug

    Same depth as other coils ( same signal ) tighter and smaller pattern. i actual turn down the sesivety to 10 in trashy areas.its a hot coil . IMO.

    Equinox not pin pointing underwater

    as Ronaldj2 said above move off target and then turn on pinpointer. Their are times that if you turn on pinpointer directly over a target it can actually null out the target simular the way ground balancing dose on mineralized ground. You can move off target and turn off and back on. Or here...

    My main reason for changing the shafts was for the counterweight to offsets the weight of the coil for Ergonomics for my wrist and arm. I’m pushing 72 and the it really dose help. the only one that you can get with the counterweight is Steve’s . i have added the ear supports and the bushing...

    Equinox 800 Problem.

    If the coil connect is loose or gets water in it it could do that. was the connector snug. Reason I’m saying this is whenever you disconnect the coil cable it will shut down. moisture in that connector could posibaly do that.

    Anyone know where I can but the cam action rod clamps for the rod shafts on the Exterra series. I want to change mine from the twist type to the lever cam type. look for a supplier or place to get a few.

    Rainy days are great, know one to bother you and beaches and parks are empty no hot sun ground is soft. I actually watch the weather and plan my detect for rainy days. No Lightning though. I have a Gortex hat and jacket and don’t care if my pants gets wet. I use WMO8 with a cheap set of earbuds...

    Don’t get too serious on settings. I deliberately detuned and played with all settings and the darn thing kept doing a great job so if you are off on settings it will work good. Doug
