    Wife gets a Legendary find

We hit one of our favorite permissions yesterday. It's one of those places you get skunked a lot but if you do pull a coin, it's gonna be an older one. Lisa bagged her first ever Morgan with her new Legend using the 6" coil. 1904-S one of the better dates.

    A first for me

Wow, great finds! The Canadian bank token is really cool.

    My Perspective on the Legend

The Nox has has been plauged with broken coil ears. I use the Nox and haven't had that problem. My wife uses the Legend now so we've had opportunity to compare. The Legend coils and shaft have a sturdier feel.

No idea where I found this....

Awesome find! Sometimes the "junk" in the pouch is surprisingly good.

    Grandson's 1st Silver

That's awesome Ronstar! Did you just reveal your secret identity as Wilson, the guy behind the fence? I bet a lot of people don't remember Binford tools🤣.

Old Dog Tax and Flat Buttons

GOOD finds! That tag is probably worth a nice amount.

    Grandson's 1st Silver

We had the grandkids for a sleep-over on Easter Sunday. On Monday, my wife had plans to take them skating as they are out of school for the week. Seizing the opportunity, I decided to do a little park hunting. My grandson came up to me and asked "Papa, can I go metal detecting with you...

Is Metal Detecting on the Decline?

I feel like in my area MD'ing has surged. Being first on a site is getting increasingly more challenging. Along those lines, discreet target recovery is the thing that's on the decline. Guys hitting the parks with shovels more suited for fields aren't doing much for the hobby's image. Leaving...

Curb strips are still producing the silver!!

Hope the foot keeps healing and the silver pile keeps growing! Curb strips are a great place to find it.

    Last Hunt...Some Silver

Really nice assortment of finds! I like the older Mexico coins and SLQ. Know what you mean, lost a great buddy and hunting partner 2 years ago. Really miss that guy. On to the positive, great to see you're having success, CONGRATS and looking forward to seeing more from you.

    Equinox and Legend Silver

Completely agree💯 The allegorical meanings embedded in our old coinage needs to be shared more. Our country's times of conflict, peace, and prosperity were well captured in our currency. Besides being junk metal, our coins are really lacking nowadays. Thanks for sharing!

A Flat Button That's More Than A Flat Button

What a great piece of history! 👍 to you for giving it a closer look.

    Equinox and Legend Silver

Howdy back at ya Blind Squirrel- You're exactly right about the early SLQ's. We've dug a few 26&27's with full dates but the rest have been obliterated. My pics are a little blurry on the mint marks, her SLQ is an "S" and unfortunately so is my 14 wheat even though that is still desirable as...
