    I know a lot of guys don’t beach hunt saltwater because your not near it but that’s a whole other way to learn your detector guys that do know more plain and simple about how the targets sound and react with iron. The Manticore shines there for me Mark

    Good points I love mine more gold with it than any other detector I've owned one ring was 24k! and the 9" coil never comes off mine great in the water and its the same weight as my D2 with the 9" 2.8lbs on my scale Mark

    same here I've dug way too many silver coins on my beaches that sound bad or come in lower than they should because they are very worn from saltwater on land I'm way more picky Mark

    Same here the manticore is great coil design you have no worries about the ears breaking like the 800 900 is better but still the coil design is not great. And I use the 9" coil super lite 2.8lbs same as the D2 with the 9" Mark

    I was wrong about the Manticore.

    Love mine been using it 2 solid years the 9" coil never comes off I've found more gold with mine than any other detector one ring was solid 24K! A few of my latest it's paid its self off many times good luck Mark
