Good advice I plan on going back there soon. The ground is really dry right now been hoping for some rain seems like that usually changes the signals

Me and my brother got permission on a farm field where there used to be a farmstead. We worked it for over an hour and only found one good target but it was a good one!

    I love curb strips

Thanks that’s good to know! I don’t have any way to test it. What is the best method to test if something is silver or not?

    I love curb strips

I’ve detected a number of curb strips in this town, some I’ve found nothing but modern coins, but on some others like the ones I did today I’ve found deep older coins. It appears as though it’s been detected before but weren’t picking up the deeper targets.

Love the crotel bell. A crotel bell is close to the top of my bucket list.

    I love curb strips

Went curb stripping in a local town had a great haul. Clearest date on a buffalo I think I’ve ever found. Only my second ever SLQ . The ring looks silver and says 925 but also says Thailand so I’m wondering if it actually is silver.

My oldest silver in a long time.

That’s one sharp large cent! Spanish looks a little rough but I would be grinning from ear to rear if I found it

    Great pocket spill

I was detecting a park a few days ago when I got a jumpy signal on my manticore but sounded the same from all directions. Turned out to be two wheats and two IHPs both wheats were 1916. This park has been hit pretty hard but it seems like I usually get one good target each time I detect it.

    What the Heck?

They made four different variations in 2009 and that is one of them. I don’t see them very often either.

    Bucket lister

Thanks everyone for the kind words! I also found 4 wheaties an IHP a skeleton key and 3 tokens. Most of these were found where I had detected a year ago just goes to show that you usually miss some good targets. The first time over I was using a Equinox 600 and this time a Manticore

    Bucket lister

Went to a nearby town and hit a couple curb strips and found this 1877s seated quarter. These don’t show up very often in Kansas . This is only my second seated coin ever the other one was a 1874p dime I found a couple years ago
